I was sitting on the Dixie side and notice the official early in the game waving people back rather adamently. Seemed odd to me so there must have been some issue happening.

 

The issue was the the offical has nothing else to do but throw sideline warnings. He was on the side line for the Dixie vs Beechwood game and threw flags on Beechwood. It is unfornate for the crew that they can't get on the same page.

Dixie had 613 total yards.

 

Cov Cath had 546 total yards.

If I am not mistaken, the NK officials meet on Tuesday nights at SK. Why don't attend and give it a try?

The game will be on Insight channel 20 or 22 tuesday night. It will be interesting to see what really happened down the side line on that call. I hope they got a good shot of it.

That is correct. 35/40 I think.

The Coaches are responsible for what goes on during a game on their side of the field no matter who it is.

 

Dixie was warned on the third play of the game to stay behind a rather well marked white line. If the first warning isn't issued when it was, the penalty would not have been called on the TD!

 

I am sure most have seen a holding call that was so far behind the play that it had no baring on the play but never the less, it is a penalty, and in this case it was the Dixie sideline that cost them the TD. Don't blame the ref he is just enforcing the rule...

Very well stated.:thumb: The 2 yard belt becomes a "Restricted Area" when the ball becomes live. Since someone was in that belt when the ball was live,the penalty was called. Unfortunate, but correct.
