No, Tyler Fennel did some Qb'ing. It was great seeing Will back on the field.

Soooo.... If Scott scored 20 and Cincy St. X scored 7....well never mind. Still havent heard from that person again!

Two things that Highlands has been having issues with lately are turnovers and penalties... how many TOs did HHS have, and how was the penalty situation last night?

Many of the Birds' JV were playmakers all night, at times the Birds' sidelines erupted with cheers and congratulating the younger players as they came off the field... that's the love of the game.

Oh come on, that had zero to do with it. He's at a new position and needed to get some reps, just as simple as that.

 

It was great seeing Bardo on the field again. These players train all year long and it would be terrible to spend your senior season standing on the sideline watching instead of playing. Will is a great athlete and he will contribute no matter what position he is playing. Welcome back Will!!!

Austin was on the sideline tonight feeling fine!

He and family are heading up East for a very nice College visit in the morning.

About what I expected for the outcome. I do have to ask why Wil Bardo and David Hogue are in the game on offense for the final two scores. Bardo had no business being in there at that time of the game IMO. Just seems to me like pouring a little salt in the wound. Can someone let me know how Cam Dierig is doing after getting his leg rolled up on.

 

Actually that seems to be when he gets into the games. Seems to have fallen off the radar screen a bit. Other than punting, it's been late game. Or I just haven't noticed him. There is a lot of talent to spread the ball around.

 

On Bardo, no problem there. He was really blocking but did make one good run late in the game. Had a few more early. That boy's speed is just unbelievable. Would love to see him at the next level say at a DB or Safety. Maybe returning the ball!

I'm sure that had absolutely nothing to do with it. He's coming off a big injury and a long time on the sidelines. On top of that, he was playing an all new position. They need to utilize every possible minute of live game action to get him back on track and comfortable in his new assignment.

 

If that were the case then why not play him there right from the start of the game and not when the score and game were out of hand. I understand that he needs the work at a new position, but really feel that it was not really doing him any good at that time in the game. It is good to see that he is able to get back to playing for his senior year. Please do not insult my intelligence by telling me that he needs the reps in a game when the score is 61-20. Will he be playing next week against Ryle and in the playoffs or do we have to wait until the score differential is 40+ points?

Again, I think that he can and will be a factor down the stretch, but if he needs minutes then he needs them early in the game when the opponent is not pretty much demoralized.

You obviously weren't at the game, so I'll correct your mistaken assumption. He played sporadically throughout the game in various roles. If you think he did NOT need the reps (no matter what point in the game they occurred) then, I really just couldn't begin to know what to say to you. :eek: He needed every minute he got, and thank goodness he got them. To try to paint it as some kind of unsportsmanlike act, is just ridiculous.
