I think the Bluebirds score 80+.

 

If this were to happen and it happened with starters first half and JV'ers second half, then what? All of the State feel gooders will be calling for a federal investigation as to why HHS (Dale) ran the score up.

 

If it happens like above and HHS is running their offense which consist of "pass" plays, then I have no problem with it. But you and I both know, 95% of the state will see it differently.

 

What do people think the Scott players would want. HHS to play their best or start with a mix of JV and Varsity Starters. I would say go with their best. Those boys at Scott are proud of their school and proud of who they are. Nothing wrong with that.

 

I actually don't see 80+ happening. I think it will be a large margin, but who knows. Last year was really ugly and it didn't make 80. Could have but didn't.

I wanted to see who the jokers would be that voted for Scott, so I made this poll public. When I went to vote, I got distracted by something shiny and wound up voting for Scott. There's a lesson here somewhere, or at the very least a comment on the inner working of my mind, but I meant to vote Birds.:idunno:

Lets face it a lot of Highlands second team would start on most other teams in NKY. Question for Highlands fans. Doesn't it get boring going to games on Friday Nights when over half you don't even have a thought of the game being close? I'm being dead serious when the game is over before it starts it can't be very exciting going to the game. Well I'm sure the Blue Bird fans still look forward to the tailgating.

I look forward going to the game regardless of whom we play. What I don't like is a "running clock" situation, which shortens the experience. It's like getting a small hot chocolate when you ordered a large.

Nah, it doesn't get boring at all. Most Highlands fans are just like BF: they enjoy going to watch the young men play their best and win football games, regardless the opponent. There are certain games you go to watch a little more relaxed, and fairly confident of the outcome. But even with those games, in the back of your mind you remember any thing can happen on the field. IF it works out that we score a bunch of points and get up big, we enjoy watching the younger boys getting onto the field and getting some experience. It's all good.

Highlands wins big in this one. I would love to see Highlands and SK in a game this year that would be a good game I believe.

I am going to get really crazy here and predict that Scott will score. But I am not going to predict that score will happen in the first 3 quarters.

And that is why you have to give credit to the boys at Scott, they go out fighting every week. Highlands and then SK is tough.

Serious question here: If you were a talented football player in Kenton County (with open enrollment amongst Scott, Simon Kenton and Dixie for those not familiar with the situation), what would be your reasoning for going to Scott?

 

Saying nothing of how it got to where it is now, does open enrollment prevent Scott from rebuilding / building a football program? Maybe it simply takes finding a talented group of geographically suited middle schoolers and convincing them they can build a program. It certainly would be tough sledding IMHO.

Since I was publicly accused of purposely voting against Highlands last week, let me go on record right now by stating that I have voted for Highlands to beat Scott! Check the poll if you'd like.:irked:
