October 18, 200916 yr Notre Dame was MUCH more competitive with the Trojans than the past few years. Should give them some hope.
October 18, 200916 yr Poor Notre Dame. They have their own National Television network and still can't win. Should have never fired Willingham. Please. Willingham has left a trail of devastation in his career. As a ND fan I was really disappointed with the result, although they played well. Another moral victory in a long line of moral victories. Story of the first half was the USC dominance on the line, that is where Notre Dame simply cannot match up. I'm not sure if Charlie's seat is any hotter, but he needs to finish this season very strong - I still think the magic number is 9.

October 18, 200916 yr I am a huge Notre Dame fan and was very disappointed in the outcome at the end of the game. Notre Dame had several opportunities and just choked and the clock management as one said in this thread was terrible in the end. Just another disappointment especially the last two pass plays the receiver was not even close to the endzone. At least put it up there where they have a chance to catch the ball. I too still see them with 8 to 9 wins and Weiss will be safe. "GO IRISH" JD
October 18, 200916 yr I heard there was a bill-board at the beginning of the year in between ND and Weiss's house that read " Charlie, Thanks for your 5 year tenure. Good Luck." The guy said it was paid for by an Alumni and he put his name on it like a signature. Most of the Alumni do not like the fact of Weiss not being very personable. He has a body guard walk with him everywhere he goes. He rarely spends time with the fans. At the luncheon for the Washington game he was escorted in, interviewed and escorted out. Why not spend sometime and shake some hands. I hear he is always like this. I have one other question: How is it that 2 games in a row at ND vs Pac 10 schools they have Pac 10 officials?

October 18, 200916 yr Please get Brian Kelly Asap!........ Agree, ND needs someone to bring the attitude back. A coach that is more aggressive. A coach that tells the opponent we are going to get hit in this game. One of the plays yesterday an ND defender grad the shirt tail of the USC receiver at the 25 and was finally tackled at the 5. I almost lost my mind. I would be upset with pee wee players doing this. :madman:

October 18, 200916 yr At the beginning of the game it showed the white HAT and by his name it said he was from the Pac 10. I have been mistaken, but I asked my wife and she agreed. I know she is right. LOL
