A really, really good source, a guy extremely close to the program and totally in the know and hears everything first, said that Gruden stayed at a downtown hotel. And get this: The really clever thing is he checked in under a fake name — Tommy Tuberville.

IF Gruden were to take the UofL job I would be shocked. It's really a step back for him, IMO. He could get another NFL head coaching job, or an elite NCAA job. UofL isn't a bad job, but it's not a great one either.

As funny as it may seem, this Gruden rumor is really getting some run on the national level. They were discussing on the NFL network tonight. Seems unlikely, but I truely do think UofL is shooting for it.
