I thought the defense played decent today. But some people argue that Kentucky has the best defense in the conference and those people are crazy. I don't believe a good defense has no answer for a draw on 3rd-and-the-ballgame, which is something Kentucky falls for every night.

UK's defense has to be able to stop them at the end, poor tackling by the CB on the first conversion and our LB or safety have to stop the last 3rd down conversion. Johnson is a little overrated in my opinion as a LB, I think maxwell makes more plays.

I wouldn't have minded the fake FG if it had been some sort of well conceived fake. It was just a terrible fake. Lieber fakes a kick, and Cobb gets up from the holder position and just takes of running. You would think they have a better fake FG call than what they ran today.

I have no doubt that Lindley would have been the difference in the game. No way that reciever goes off like he does for 3 TD's against him.

He may have if they let him push off Lindley like he did the other DB's.

The two big kickoff returns are also big culprits in the loss today. That led to two easy USC touchdown drives.

This loss hurts. UK had a chance to beat Spurrier, a chance to take momentum into a game at Auburn against a team that got pounded today.

What happened with the clock at the end? Looked like a whole lot of time just kept rolling off, and when SC got the false start call the clock ran again for the next play? Huh? So why not get false start after false start to allow all the time to go away?

They ran off more than 1 minute between plays once, I thought that I read the official's lips when Brooks was complaining that they were running time off to match the time on the field. Brooks wasn't buying it though.

:thumb: I loved the fake call. I have no faith in Seiber, and a conversion there would have been huge. The problem is nobody even went out for a pass. Cobb is fast, but South Carolina is an SEC defense. You're not going to be able to take that long, then outrun them.

You nailed it. Special teams killed us again today.

Hartline played well, but he may be out for a while. Fidler played better than I expected, but I think Cobb has to be the QB @ Auburn if we have a shot at winning next week.

Hartline already ruled out for next week - MCL at best but could be much worse.

Lindley and Warford are "doubtful"

Statements from Brooks in the post-game presser...

If Lindley is out next week we'll be in trouble.

He would've made a huge difference today. I think they win this one w/ Lindley in the lineup.

Coach Brooks says Hartline’s injury is “significant… It does not look good”.

I think this just proved neither team is very good. South Carolina is slightly better than UK, but both stink the joint up every time they play.

Blaming this loss on the coaches. Are you serious? I guess it was the coaches fault that special teams didn't make the tackles on the long kick off returns we gave up. I guess it was the coaches fault that we had two penalties on the 4th down plays late in the game. And I guess it was the coaches fault that TC Drake dropped the pass in the endzone that would have put the Cats ahead. My gosh some fans kill me.

Frustrating day.

I want this team to make the next step as a program, but again they fail in a game that was very winnable.

Tired of the excuses.

Beat someone you are not expected to in the East.

Offensive play-calling has me puzzled. Far too conservative.

Im not for Cobb at QB full time, but for them not to show the Wildcat package in the second half other than the last drive was puzzling.

The 2 point attempt play call was simply abysmal.

It is what it is...another loss to an upper tier SEC team.

Garcia had 4 td's.

Two of the TD's were because Jeffery was that much better than the man covering him. UK's corner's were horrid today

Outside of the wildcat formation, the only actually play they ran that was a called call was when they faked the bubble pass to Locke and hit McCaskill down the sideline. What happend to all the screen passes and short hooks that Woodson was so sucessful with?
