I agree with Wireman.

From watching I would say the teams looked even...both were equally as bad. Uk's defense isn't very good. South Carolina in general isn't very good either.

UK's defense played very well, I thought. We were missing both starting cornerbacks. The D-line was all over Garcia in the 2nd half.

Kentucky should've won this ballgame.

Very poor special teams. Punting was bad, as well as our coverage team.

Fake FG was a joke?

Yes, it was a joke. It was a joke because it was 4th-and-7. Add eight yards to that and Cobb has to run 15 yards to get a first down. That's too much to ask against a team that obviously was expecting it. You forget it's only Kentucky that falls hook, line, and sinker for those types of plays.

Cobb needs to be the quarterback.

HArtline played very acceptable today.

What do you guys want? Other than the 2 point conversion where was the terrible coaching in play? They played the second half with their 2nd string QB, without their top corners and they had a chance to win. Sounds like a crap coaching job to me......

No, they played most of the second half with their 3rd string QB and they started the game with their 2nd string QB :thumb:

Special teams is ALWAYS the problem. How Ortmayer is still in charge, I'll never know.

This loss hurts. UK had a chance to beat Spurrier, a chance to take momentum into a game at Auburn against a team that got pounded today.

What happened with the clock at the end? Looked like a whole lot of time just kept rolling off, and when SC got the false start call the clock ran again for the next play? Huh? So why not get false start after false start to allow all the time to go away?

Statistically UK isn't very good on defense.

Statistically, noone else in the country would be either after playing 2 of the top 3 teams in the NCAA.

You don't give up 361 yards and 4 td's and say defense played very well.

Agree, not a Hartline fan but we did play very well. Should have been perfect in the first half. I think he was like 11/13 and receivers had two dropped balls.

Yeah, we got that in the other thread when you said the coaches lost the game. We get it, you think the coaches sucked.

Statistically, noone else in the country would be either after playing 2 of the top 3 teams in the NCAA.

U of L got a bunch of points on them as well. The defense isn't close to as good as people thought. That will make next week's game against Auburn that much more interesting, and it really is a must win.

So taken in context you agree that its the coaches fault they were playing short handed? Even for you that is a stretch.

Agreed. The defense isn't nearly what most people think it is. But it was so bad for so long, that slight improvement that we've seen over the last couple years have made some people think Kentucky is the 1970s Steelers.
