October 7, 200916 yr Yeah, but the QB situation doesn't cause you to have 30 on target drops since I believe it was '07. I agree with this. Drops are drops. He's had that problem his entire career, and as well an issue with stupid, bone-headed penalties. Going from Quinn/Anderson to Sanchez is not some cure-all for his "focus" woes. And going from Cleveland to New York might be quite an adjustment also. Maybe he returns to his 2007 numbers, but I doubt it. I'll bet he'll produce more on line with his 2008 numbers.
October 7, 200916 yr He has alligator arms. Unless Rex Ryan has an arm stretching orthopod in NY he's hiding, Edwards will be the same guy, different town, IMO.
October 7, 200916 yr Why do you act like that is going out on a limb? He is a Top 5 pick and has been great in Cleveland when the QB situation was good. I think most expect him to be a legit #1 when he gets there. :thumb: This is a good move for both teams. Cleveland cuts some dead weight and New York gets what might be the extra push they need. Edwards isn't the guy I would build a team around but he is obviously talented and has high potential when the circumstance is right.

October 8, 200916 yr Love this for the Jets; if it doesn't work, they didnt give up a ton. If it does work, it is a steal for Gang Green.
October 9, 200916 yr I really think he will turn things around and become the player he was a couple of years ago. Would you put forth 100% effort if you didn't even know who was going to be throwing you the ball from week to week? Should he still put forth 110%? Yes he should, but realistically it would be hard to do! Of course my judgment is a little maize and blue biased.
October 9, 200916 yr He might play better in New York. Don't forget that this guy amassed over 1500 yards and 15 TD's just two seasons ago. He's a talent. If the Jets can't get it out of him, they and the Giants might be the favorites to reach the Super Bowl. Correction... 1289 Yards and 16 TD's.
