Central had to have a last-second field goal to beat Tilghman in the semis in 2007. Last year, clearly, the west was way down, primarily because of Paducah Tilghman's collapse.

 

None of that changes the perception that 3A, much of which was the old 2A before it, is the weakest class in the state, relative to enrollment.

Then at the end of the year- play the 3a champ vs the 1a and 2a and we can see.

I'm not saying the state champs are weaker than 1A and 2A ... I'm saying that the entire class, top to bottom, isn't nearly as strong as it should be.

I know a few people have mentioned it, but Bellevue IMO definitely should be considered. They are one of the best 8 1A teams this year in the state IMO. Coach Eckstein has himself a really good team, has them playing really well right now.

3a is the weakest...After the Top 6-7 teams, there really isn't another team in all of 3a that actually deserves to be ranked...Guess, someone has to be there... In regard to PTilghmans record, I simply used Central as an example...NCC, Beechwood, Trinity..These teams could have been used as well...Someone states a team is imploding or just beat someone, then those same things could be said about these teams.. Never said there opponents were as good as Centrals, matter of fact, made a point to say it wasn't, but, if record matters as you say, then these others shouldn't be considered either...That's all I was saying...

I know what you are trying to say, but I wasn't basing it soley on w's. Simply put, right now MANY 3A teams would beat PT. They are as strange a team to analyze as any, but they are currently what they are, and that is no way a top ten team in 3A regardless of how 3A is from top to bottom, IMO. Not being criticle of you.

Just don't rule out Western Hills. They will win district and give every team in the 3A region all they want

 

3A Western Hills lost to West Jessamine by 35 points.

3A Garrard County lost to West Jessamine by 1 point on a blocked PAT.

 

If Western Hills is top eight, is Garrard County top seven?

I would say 10-12. Maybe more. The name Tilghman doesnt scare anyone anymore. Heck, 3 or 4 could easily quit tomorrow. Seems to b par for the course over the last few weeks!

Breathitt County

Central

Elizabethtown

Mason County

Russell

Sheldon Clark

Somerset

Union County

 

Paducah Tilghman is far from good, but any list of the top ten in 3A has to include them...because there just isn't anyone else.

I thought that Fugate hadn't played in all the BC games this season.
