Christian County 13 Owensboro 10

Looks like Bowling Green may get that rematch sooner than they wanted.

Great win by Christian...Didn't really expect it, but, not totally surprised...

Congratulations to Christian Co.

After watching BG play both CC and OHS I thought CC was the better team and they proved it tonight.

Nice win for Christian County.

I really thought Owensboro would take this one. Very nice win by Christian.

What is the deal with the Christian Co offense? I feel like the offense is going to what keeps the team from going to Bowling Green. I mean I would put that defense up against anybody in the state, I just think their offense needs to be more productive if they plan to win down the road. Example, Owensboro throws a interception, Christian Co. gets the ball fumbles it, the ball ends it in the redzone. Then Owensboro can't move the ball again so they kick a field goal. Christian Co. is like watch the old Baltimore Ravens, any thoughts?

Fair enough. Personally, I'd prefer the way things worked out for BG because if they have to travel for the region finals, I'd rather go to the Stadium of Champions rather than Rash.

Owensboro simply beat themselves. 4 turnovers and numberous penalties were the downfall for OHS. All County does is stack the line and dare OHS to beat them through the air, and the Red Devils can't come up with a gameplan to counter. It seems OHS gets outcoached in the big games every time especially in the playoffs. County has some great athletes but I see why BG beat them by a few TD's. Kal Prince played like a freshman, but County was in his face all night. Then you add the poorest officiated game on top of that and it spelled doom for OHS. The way things went down County should have blown OHS out. That 12 men on the field penalty to give the ball back to County after Ryan Bowling returned the punt inside the County 30 was flat out the dumbest call I have ever witnessed in watching high school football. OHS has many issues to correct, and now the road just got 100 time more difficult to L.T. Smith. A state title may be a pipedream for OHS now.

I'm sorry, but from what I've seen so far this season, a state title for ANYONE not living in Ft. Thomas is a pipe dream.

Wouldn't that disqualify half of Highlands football team? :sssh:
