October 2, 200916 yr  You get to compare them to a defense that will go down as one of the best in our generation? :idunno: Who in the world said they were in the same class as Florida? Calling them pathetic based on what we've seen is a joke though. Will average work then?
October 2, 200916 yr Will average work then? Average and pathetic to not hang out in the same groups.
October 2, 200916 yr Average and pathetic to not hang out in the same groups. But, isn't average kind of pathetic for the SEC? I just get sick and tired of hearing about how tough the SEC is. It's the best conference, but it's not like every team is just majorly stacked. UK, Missippi State, Vandy those teams would be about the same in most other BCS conferences. SEC is deeper on the pretty good teams, but it's not like every team is a world beater like it's made out to be.

October 2, 200916 yr I would take the bottom of the SEC over the bottom of any other major conference. As would I. But, it's not like a legit title contender should have trouble with the bottom feeders of the conference. Sure we can say UK-LSU, but UK was far from a bottom feeder that year. I don't know it all stems back to this deep hate I have for the SEC teams that play no one OOC, well it's just one team. Justifying your schedule by saying the SEC is tough enough is pathetic and weak. That's what it all comes down to for me. At least teams like Texas who do the same don't even bother trying to justify it. I will admit, bias plays in for me. So it's tough to change my mind.

This is an argument for another thread, but it is true. Whether you are in the East or West, you have a tough schedule every year.
October 2, 200916 yr This is an argument for another thread, but it is true. Whether you are in the East or West, you have a tough schedule every year. Fair enough. I don't think that UF's schedule looks that hard right now though. JMO though. Sure they have to play the SEC title game, but @LSU looks like the only tough game, and the Gators might prove that they (LSU) is a fraud.

I think Florida's schedule looks easy because they are that good. There are only a handful of teams in the country that could beat them.
October 2, 200916 yr I think Florida's schedule looks easy because they are that good. There are only a handful of teams in the country that could beat them. Very true. I can take that.:thumb: I do think that all teams that want to play for the BCS Title should have to leave their home state to play an OOC game, but like we've said that is another topic for another thread.
October 2, 200916 yr I enjoy reading Cats +, I might not agree with everything but I do think he knows some football. Also the folks debating I would say the same thing about you too. Just hope the QB for the Cats plays OK and no injury. And to add....some folks have a way to go to who are not in this thread, but I think they are not SEC people. Like the conference the fans are the best nation wide.

It may sound like I'm trying to belittle someone or things like that but that isn't my intent. I love having these convos, and I think if people could actually hear the way that I'm saying things instead of having to read them, then it wouldn't sound so bad to them. I do need to work on how things sound, but I'm not trying to say I know it all or that someone else knows nothing. I would never say that I know more than "person x", I think it's just the way I write.
October 2, 200916 yr Well I gotta put my 2 cents in! First I thought this was a thread about UK's QB situation? Second I'm sorry but I don't know near as much about football as the rest of you. so I'm just gonna say this most of the guys sitting on the bench that never see a minute in the SEC would be a starter in any other conference. Edited October 2, 200916 yr by PigSkinFan42 Can't spell either

I can buy that. Maybe not a starter at every other school in the country, but probably some where at many schools, including BCS conferences. Heck, UF's 2nd string on defense could possibly do a line change with many schools and replace every starter.
October 4, 200916 yr Yeah probably right, not every college in the country but at many as for UF they are in a class all their own not many schools in the country can compete with them. but the question still remains what is UK going to do about the QB spot, one of the freshman may not do any better but they certianly can't do anny worse.
October 5, 200916 yr Not on a high horse. However, there is a big difference between giving an opinion, like so many people on here do, and acting all knowlegable, and offensive to anyone else's opinion like you have. What's wrong with stating the obvious. You need to back off, CCC has a lot of good things to say and people usually listen. Plus, Hartline is terrible we all know this. He is absoultely the worst QB in the SEC.
