Bishop Brossart?

McCreary Central?

West Carter?

I'm not sold on these three, either.

Brossart's story is an interesting one, but I can't see them in the top 10.

McCreary has plowed through an easy schedule; things get considerably more difficult.

West lost in Week 1 to Fairwiew. This week's game with Russell should tell us something.

I'm glad X is #1 so that some of their fans can't stop worrying over a poll with a playoff at the end of the season.

Male in front of Fern Creek? The games are played on the field, what good is a poll anyway?

You never know for sure whether a team's embarking on a special season until they beat someone significant. I don't think any of these three has a signature win to hang their hat on yet, but they deserve watching closely.

When does the first BGP poll appear??? :bunny:

Just go to the BGP home page, go to the football tab and make your selection. BGP has been doing rankings all season, there should be a new one this evening or tomorrow.

See, I don't think it's THAT cut and dry.

1A LCA is a good #1. Beechwood has most likely played the tougher schedule however.

2A Ft Campbell deserves it because they are defending champs and unbeaten and looked great doing it. However, Corbin is no slouch and has looked equally impressive in maybe a better schedule. (Can't really gauge the TN schools well without background on them)

3A Is wide open like you said.

4A While Boyle is obvious to most, Bell deserves any #1 vote they get. THEY are the defending state champs. Their only loss was to a very good Alcoa squad from TN. So any vote for Bell seems reasonable to me.

5A Highlands is obvious

6A St. Xavier is likewise. However let's wait until they play Trinity and see what Henry Clay does as the year progresses.

I know you said Highlands is obvious and I completely agree with you, but what if Bowling Green beats Trinity? Wont they deserve first place?:idunno:

West Carter lost to Fairview. Bishop Brossart only beat Betsy Layne by three points.

I wouldn't hold my breath on anything.

That is one VERY Big if!:D

Indeed it is, but say they do beat Trinity. Do would you give them a first place bid? :sssh:

Yes I would. When do they play?

Conner 5-0 against no one with a winning record. Ryle 3-1 with loss to Highlands. :ohbrother:

Is Trinity as good as or better than Highlands?

If they played tomorrow I would pick Trinity over Highlands. I have seen Highlands. I have not seen Trinity.

It looks pretty hard to distinguish the two right now, really. They both beat Dixie Heights by similar scores, which is the only common opponent they have. (Conner 36-20 over DH; Ryle 42-28 over DH).
