September 22, 200916 yr Ole Miss is very good and I know Coach Saban will be ready if we get by the Pigs/Cats. The games are played one at a time. If Bama stays injury free with our D and if our QB continues to improve we will be hard to beat. We play well on the road beating LSU/Georgia/Vols/Va. Tech in the past.

I was talking about this the other day to some people. Look at the landscape of college football right now. All of the traditional powers are either on top or on their way back. It's going to be crazy to see USC, UF, Bama, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, The U, FSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Penn State, etc. all back up to an elite level. I agree about Miami's swagger. I think its just a culture thing. When the U is at an elite level there is really no place better to be as a player. Yeah, they get arrogant and cocky, but this is "NFL U". All these other programs are great, but things are just different at Miami. Randy Shannon knows and embraces that, he is the perfect and only man for the job right now. People will see him coach alot better this season as he can just worry about the defense, now that Miami has a competent OC something they haven't had in a number of years. Remember Shannon is one of, if not the elite defensive minds in college football. I think he and Saban are 1 and 1.a when it comes to that side of the ball.

I think UF would have double them up somthing like 35 to 14 or so. UF had a lot of problems then, and that game helped them correct it. It's a upset like Washington over USC, UK over LSU etc.

This isn't "Thug U" anymore.:lol: If you get a chance read some of the U's post game quotes. If you can find the Jacory Harris presser after the Georgia Tech game, he has some great quotes that I found really funny. This team has swagger, but I think it's more of a good nature, likable one, which is one reason everyone has started to hop on the bandwagon. Personally, I prefer the "Thug U" were no one liked the Canes. It made winning even sweeter.

I remember that one and another bowl game (can't remember who they played) where the continually got unsportsmanlike conduct penalties but were so much better it didn't matter. They won in a rout with all of those penalties. I've always despised them, but they are never dull.

But I do like them being good because I love good teams to hate, it's no fun ripping on teams when they are down.
