Interesting...showed some grit as the heat is turning up...
September 20, 200917 yr I didn't see anything that came even close to Mike Gundy's blow up last year. I like Kragthorpe. I know most UofL fans don't, but Petrino spoiled them for several years. I still say Kragthorpe will get the job done at Louisville. He does show some toughness.
September 20, 200917 yr Most Louisville fans would appreciate seeing even more emotion than this press conference offered. However, WIN THE GAMES and I won't care if does a broadway musical as his press conference.
September 20, 200917 yr I like his passion today in the presser. He was letting everyone know they blew it and he was mad about it. Now he needs to fix these issues. He should take the blame for the outcome. 1. 4th down play calling (option) 2. To many times UL wasted time outs to get plays in, plus they have a couple of delay of game penalties. He is calling the plays, so he needs to get them in quicker. I am not giving up on Krags, I think there are things Card fans can get excited about.
September 20, 200917 yr Did anybody make out the question he was asked when he told the guy, "That's your opinion, you're wrong, Next question" ?
September 20, 200917 yr If I was a UL fan, I would love what I heard from this press conference. I LOVE how he defended Trent Guy. That kid made so many positive plays that you can't let one negative play color what a playmaker he is and how hard he played.
September 20, 200917 yr Author I don't think anyone is going after Trent Guy...the kid can play. Just him cussing like he did was kind of overboard...especially when referencing Lindley. He did qualify it... I can see Trevard doing a Shaq to Kobe rap on this as to what Kragthorpe was referencing. Honestly, who can fault him in this presser...he has taken so much heat over the last three years...and he wanted this one badly.

Coach........I do not mind the 4th down option call, but I would change two things: 1. I would tell Justin Burke to not pitch it from behind the left guard position. To be effective, the quarterback must at least present a threat to run the football before pitching. 2. I would not call that play into the boundary. There is just not enough space to effective run the play. I know UK fans used to get upset when Andre Woodson would be called upon to run the option, but I have always liked the play in a short yardage situation even with a non-running type quarterback.
September 20, 200917 yr Did anybody make out the question he was asked when he told the guy, "That's your opinion, you're wrong, Next question" ? The question was more of a comment that went something like, "Coach in the last couple of weeks, Justin has been awful at throwing the deep ball to Scott...."

I love the option. I just hate it with a guy who is not a running QB, just because of what you said They pitch to soon or don't attack the line of scrimmage.
September 20, 200917 yr I love Krags and I hope he stays at UL for many more years! You just might get your wish big boy...you are a U of L hater, and that should grow more as this program rises up again.
September 20, 200917 yr After watching the presser a second time, I really like the fact he took up for his kids and shoulder the blame. This Cardinal team will be fine this season. They have to stay healthy and limit mistakes.
