How can Brossart prep for this?

Brossart whould be well rested, however, I heard that last week they only had about half their team at practice due to H1N1 around the school. I know they are not permitted to practice without school being in session, so I look for Ludlow to win this game. Hard to win without practicing. Ludlow wins by 2 TDs

I have heard from someone that Brossart will be able to practice over the weekend. So they will get to practice, so that can't be an excuse.

I'm sure that Reinhart will find some way to get a few hours of work in. First district game of the year, if they win this one they have a good chance for the playoffs, and they are still working on an undefeated season.

 

Even though they will be practicing it can still effect them though. As it can Ludlow. Getting out of routine and all it can be very hard for both to lose focus. Ludlow even has a dance between now and gametime. O well, i look for both teams to show up prepared. Maybe a sloppy first, but they will get in rythm. Let's go Panthers!

I don't think they are as bad as he said, but the AP is NEVER a good argument in HS football. They are a joke and rank solely on record and team history, not on how good a team is. That's a known fact.

I am not arguing the ranking, they are one of the few 3-0 teams left. However, let's see how they rank in week 10 after district play, when the level of competition is upgraded by leaps and bounds. If still in the top 10 then I'll give them all the respect in the world and admit that I was wrong. But I will guarantee I do not have to do that!

I hate to say it however the only team right now in the district that probably deserves to be ranked in the top 10 in the AP poll in the state in 1A is Bellevue.

You are assuming that Ludlow is superior to Betsy Layne, Bracken County, and Jenkings. You are certainly right in two of the three cases, but Brossart was better than them too.

 

The Ludlow game and the district schedule will be a true test for this Mustangs football team. Are we contenders (for a playoff spot), or are we pretenders? 3-0 because of overall improvements or because of a watered down schedule. I will say this - Last year's team would not have been 3-0 against the same competition, or at very least would not have been as dominating as this year's team has been.

 

I think the answer lies somewhere in the middle. I sincerely believe that the Mustangs are a vastly improved team from those that the Panthers faced the past two years. Are we good enough to defeat district opponents and earn a playoff spot??? Yet to be seen.

 

I hate to say it however the only team right now in the district that probably deserves to be ranked in the top 10 in the AP poll in the state in 1A is Bellevue.
