At this rate Brossart could go undefeated!

 

Just kidding hopefully this let everyone get better and they can get back to school and back to playing football. They are having a good year(for them) and missed a chance for another good game.

Plus its a district game, so it does mean something because it counts towards the playoffs. So I am wondering how they will do this as well. Now that I think about it, my guess is maybe both teams will end up having to cancel a game later in the year against a nondistrict opponent and then just play each other that week instead.

 

I believe the only non-district opponent left for Ludlow is Pendleton County on October 30th. Brossant also has a non-district game that night against Bethel Tate (OH), so in theory that would work.

Just looked at the Scoreboard and saw BB was given a loss for the E-Town game is that right? A forfeit for a flu cancellation seems harsh if it is legitimate.

Not necessarily true. Non-district games could end up being used to separate a three-way tiebreaker within a district.

Sounds like a great idea to me! The schools should look into it.

I still feel for the students though. I remember all the fun of homecoming week when I was at Ludlow. You spent all week preparing for the game, building floats for the parade, and looking forward to the post game dance. Not that Brossart can help kids having the flu, but that's a shame for all the kids. Not just the football players. There are girls that spent good money on dresses for the homecoming queen crowning, and some probably rented cars to ride in the parade in. It'll be interesting to see how Ludlow handles that. Homecoming is extra special in such a small tight-knit community.

 

At any rate, I hope the Mustangs get healthy soon. i hate to see anyone sick, plus they can't miss many more games or i don't think they could make them up in time. You'd hate to see a team not even have a chance at the playoffs because of the flu!

I'm hearing that the game is moved to Monday. Makes since because that is when Brossart goes back to school. Hopefully the students will be back to good health by then, and they can get this one in!

Me too. It's going to be tough for both teams though. Two district games with only 3 days of rest in between. That's going to be rough.

Yeah its definitely not the most ideal situation for either team. I know for Ludlow it will end up being a really big week, because they now play Brossart Monday and then Dayton friday. Both of these games are huge games, and will play a big part in who makes the playoffs.
