Survivor: Samoa

Ok, I can agree that we do not know went on other than the edited version. The edited version is, indeed, all we have to go by. Since that is all we had to go by, then the assumption is that they included all the critically important happenings. Russel truly seemed to be the survivor who was "extremely involved" to say the least. Natalie, who I thoroughly liked and could hardly find fault with, played the game extremely passively compared to Russel. For goodness sake he found, I believe, 3 idols without clues, that's never remotely happened before. He manipulated the game from beginning ot end according to the edit.He played the game as well as anyone ever has. Natalie won to me because she was likable, which she truly was(I really liked her, believe me!) and Russell lost because he made his opponents look so bad. I couldn't believe someone never took the lead, late in the game, to get rid of Russell, if Natalie would have done that, she would have been deserving of the winner but she did not. Also, I couldn't understand why Mick apparently did not get any votes. In the end Russel shouldn't have taken a beautiful, extremely likable girl with him to the final three. Ok, I have said enough. Merry Christmas to all!

agreed!

Russel should have won, he played the best game in Survivor History!

I had quit watching but decided to watch this year. I was glad I did because I agree he is the best in history. Then the people can't get over the hard feelings and hose him. I really think Surviour needs to let the public do the final vote. Him not winning has almost turned me against watching again. It's a joke. He absolutly dominated!

Let's see: the competition is between someone who is "likeable"; and someone who is an "anal sphincter". "Likeable" wins every time.

THAT is a legitimate strategy.

I agree he played the best game in Survivor history, but he only played it up to the last 48 hours. He knew he was the only person capable of taking out Brett, but instead of carrying the much weaker Jaison and "Shambo" with him to the final he doubted himself and took two people that were much more likely to win the vote. He played coin flip odds and lost. Can't wait to see how he does in Heroes vs Villains...

Is that the next one, heroes v villains? I did not get to see the end of the reunion, therfore I missed out on what the next one was going to be.

I haven't seen the final episode just know he lost. We've been in Tenn on a little family getaway. Congrats on the new coach. Good hire for Cincy. Didn't you spend some time at Marshall too? Seems like that could be a huge hire for Marshall. Sorry for getting off topic but wanted to say congrats. I know it was tough for Cincy fans how Kelley left.

Heroes vs. villains starts in February, I think. They did not show any of the participants. Not sure if Russel will be in it or not. I hope so.

I was close to losing my mind when they screwed Russell out of the title. I am very close to not watching anymore because of the jury voting out of spite which happens to often on this show as well as Big Brother. The best player should win, that is the point.

The best player should win, that is the point.
No, it isn't. And that's where the strategic element comes in. At a certain point in the game, you have to start taking into account how you treat the people you trample over on your way to the top.

That is why it is so hard to win survivor. You have to change your game strategy almost every tribal council.

I've watched every season of Survivor and Russell was absolutely the best ever to play the game and he did it by winning only one challenge. How in the world you could find idols without a clue is mind boggling. Natalie isn't the first person to win by flying under the radar and you can't really fault her, she didn't vote for herself.

Why? Outwit, Outplay, Outlast. You outlast all of the people who become your voters and if they vote out of bitterness because you are the reason they are out that kills me. No way Natalie was deserving over Russell. We will agree to disagree I suppose. Merry Christmas.

Added Christmas as I jumped the gun on posting.

That is the outwit part, you have to find a way to make it to the end and not make anyone angry. Russell deserved it, but he did it while making people mad and stabbing people in the back and lying. Can you honestly say that if you were on the game and a person devised the plan to get you voted off, would you vote for that person?

The wrong person won. Russell should have won, no doubt about it!!!!!!!!!!!
