For the last three years I've always said that I don't think he will make it in the NFL. I finally changed my mind this summer, I just finally came to the realization that the guy is a winner. He is obviously a focused, very dedicated person. I think he will make it. And I agree with you, he couldn't be any worse than some starters I see in the league.

 

I actually think Tebow could be more valuable for some teams as the backup quarterback, but used in a type of "wildcat-ish" formation. He certainly can get the bull yards on 3rd & 2, but he has a plenty good enough arm to make teams respect him throwing also. I'm not sure he'd be a star, but the NFL can find ways to use him.

I think Tebow would do very good as a Chris Cooley type in the NFL. He also wouldn't be bad in short yardage situations from the wildcat.

Agree 100%. He has been successful in everything that he has done. He could play circles around some QBs in the league right now.

 

Also you can't just go walk into the NFL and play linebacker without ever playing it before. :lol::lol:

I didn't read the article but I coach football and have traded films around the Nation over the years. When I was studying the spread I got some film from Neece High School which is in Jacksonville Fla. That film also had a pretty good QB there at Neece by the name of Tim Tebow. For a franchise that is struggling to sell tickets it makes sense for them to go after the most popular Fla player in history. They have got to get him somebody to throw the ball too though! MJD is a flat out stud is he can stay healthy being the bell cow. That will make Tebow's transistion a lot easier.

I understand the questions about Tebow's NFL prospects, but the kid has talent. I think it's a mistake to write him off. He's almost certainly not going to walk in and succeed like a Ryan or Sanchez, but he seems like a hard working guy.

Tebow has had an excellent career...but I don't see him being a good NFL QB. The difference between the NFL and NCAA is HUGE.

And since he's never played LB, what makes you think he'd be able to play there?

 

I think Tebow could play some QB in the NFL. I'm not one to doubt the man.

 

Tebow could move to a weakside LBer in the NFL. I don't believe that he'd be the next Derreck Brooks, but he's athletic enough to play in a Tampa 2 scheme.

No, you can't, but how many rookie linebackers walk right in and contribute much of anything outside of special teams??? Not many.

I guess we'll just see. Tebow is taller and bigger than Garrard, and I don't see any indication that Garrard is a better passer or runner than Tebow. We'll see in a few years.

Just curious. What are Tebow's defeciencies at QB that are driving the doubt he can play in the NFL as a QB?
