They aren't...it's a farce. They aren't even the best team in Ohio, maybe not even the city.

 

They will lose in the playoffs. Probably not to Colerain but to someone, I assure you. They aren't nearly as good as people are hyping them up to be. Let's put it this way: I'd love for my Cards to have another shot at them OUTSIDE their comfy confines of the Pit and WITHOUT a GCL crew of refs.

Did you happen to see the final score of the Highlands (KY) and Withrow (OH) score? It was 21-0 in favor of the HHS birds!! Now in case you didn't know,Highlands is not in L'ville,so when HHS plays Cinti. X in two weeks, you might want to hold that thought until the game is decided on the field.Looks to me like this little (3A actually) school took your big boys to the woodshed,with a big goose egg on the Ohio side of the scoreboard!!! :ylsuper:

Probably. However the term "Big Boy" is usually reserved for the GCL south schools, a few GMC schools. Anderson and Turpin have stepped it up as well lately. Withrow has never really been within shouting distance of them. How you guys do 9/25 defines how you handle the "Big Boys"

There were many factors that caused us to lose the game. The main reasons were lack of execution and a few big pass plays that were given up that shouldn't have been. Also, playing in the Pit is not easy, as Trinity can now attest so yes, that played a part as well. And I won't comment on the refs any further...they know who they are and they know they missed calls so we'll leave it at that.

 

Why would I trash the team that my team lost to? That doesn't make any sense at all. How bad would that then make my team look?

 

I am merely stating that I don't think Elder is the #3 team in the country and I'm not even sold they are the #3 team in Ohio. I think X and Glenville are both better and St. Ignatius could have a good shot as being better as well.

 

I am the consumate good sport. Don't tell me how to respond to a loss.

This post is comical and really makes you look bad. If you watched the Elder-Colerain game and are blaming the loss on the home field and refs you have your home team blinders on. Colerain will never get the elite national level without coming up with a passing game.

We are already at the elite national level. As much as any GCL school and any other private school powerhouse in KY or IN. And we did it, and will continue to do it, without a passing game.

 

And the big difference is that Colerain is a PUBLIC school...meaning, we do it with OUR kids. Not ones from all over God's green earth.

They just had a game that was televised live nationally on ESPN... not CBS Sports College Network, not ESPNU, not ESPN2, not a regional FoxSportsNet... ESPN. Colerain was on national TV because they were playing Elder who is ranked # 3 in the country. I believe Colerain was at a mucher higher level with Kerry Coombs at the helm than they are now.

Much better level of football in Cincinnati and Ohio in general than in Louisville and Kentucky. No surprise in tonight's outcomes.

 

I think that is true for the most part but not all. Didn't Simon Kenton just beat a Ohio school.

Whipping Manual is not a huge accomplishment considering they are very young and a KY public school. I would like to see Colerain play X or T before declaring them in the same league as the Big Boys in Cincinnati, Elder, X, Moeller. Colerain is in the second tier.

Brother that is insane..... Colerain may be in a Trinity state this year but they are an OH giant... not just Cincy. Also, remember they are a public school.

Colerain is absolutely not in the second tier, as Cardinals Fan stated earlier they went 87-3 in the regular season for many seasons, they are among the best teams in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the nation
