I would like to say that the Withrow facilities are AWESOME.

 

Was not expecting the Cincy police to ask us if we would be tailgating and then point us in the direction for a Highlands tailgate.:thumb: Wish I had known that before today.:thumb: Still turned out fine. As I found out during the game from one of the officers, they were completely expecting us to tailgate and hoping that we would.:clap::clap:

 

Also I must say, the Withrow Band was the best pre-game and half time entertainment that I have seen in years. Make that many many years.:clap::clap::clap::clap::dancingpa

 

I agree. Withrow's stadium is one of the best I've ever seen and the atmosphere was tremendous, easily some of the best that I've ever experienced for a high school game. The band's halftime performance was great, but watching them leave the field was as entertaining as the rest of the game.:ylsuper: I'd love to see this become a regular series.

HHS had 400+ yards of total offense. I haven't heard or read why they didn't put up more than 21. Usually 400 yards yields more points.

I noticed that Withrow put up a lot of yards. 360 maybe? Was this a case of "bend but don't break" defense for the Birds?

4 tunovers and terrible reffing. It was definately homer time last night..The Birds would of probably had over 500 yards if it wasn't for the guys with the stripes. It was really bad....:puke:

Oh Gosh, I know lol...saying that they'll still win 5A and are better than any team in NKY really warrants a "take a hike". Maybe you're one of the overzealous fans.

 

And what is wrong with an "overzealous fan?" I can not find any fault in fans supporting their programs and their athletes. Most folks close to the program realize the birds have a lot of 1st time starters on the Offense and Defense and it will take some time for the team to gel to Ft Thomas expectations. Others, are just having some fun predicting wide margined victories. I do not find fault with them either.

 

IMO, the cheap part of this experience is when some enjoy the bashing of a program or other posters after the contest to prove some wothless point.

Check posts 25, 32 and 47! The best in the Greater Cincinnati area in my opinion. With the friendly atmosphere of the Withrow fans, band, etc. - the best I have experienced at a highschool game.

Not close to True. The 6A schools should be at least as big as Anderson which is one of the smallest d1 schools in Ohio (522 boys 9-11)

I am not privy to watch the tapes. I didn't think the ball hit our player from where I was sitting. I will take your word on it though..:thumb:
