Beechwood hosts the Holy Cross Indians Friday night at 7:30. Will Beechwood show they are back on track and pick up their first win? Will Holy Cross finally beat Beechwood and remain undefeated? This is going to be a good one.

I think the Tigers come out and get their first win of the season. They made huge strides from week 1 to 2. A little more experience adds up to a Beechwood win IMO.

I am going take the Indians in a hard fought game.

The Indians will score on Beechwood and should take their first ever victory against the Tigers.

HC will take care of business on defense and offense, Beechwood wont be able to score. HC is very experienced offensively and defensively. Therefore, HC wins this one.

I don't think scoring will be a problem for Beechwood. They seemed to be able to move the ball on Highlands and I doubt that HC is as good as Highlands. The key will be how well the Beechwood defense plays.

I don't know. I want to say Holy Cross, but I think Beechwood is going to pull this one out and give some teams some fits.

Holy Cross has multiple weapons on offense - Walker, Roenker, Smith, Norris, Ziegler. The O-line is all seniors. The team has done a really good job adjusting to Koz's new spread offense. Talent and system will not be the issues. The Indians need to get over the mental hurdle of going to Ft. Mitchell and walking out with a win. They played well against Bellevue at home and in a difficult bowl atmosphere at Pikeville to get victories. If that same team shows up on Friday night, I see a 10 point victory for HC. If not, then the past will repeat itself. It should be interesting to see if HC is for real!

Actually, Beechwood's offense did move the ball pretty well against Highlands' first team. If you don't believe me, check out all the Bluebird fans complaining that their D needs to get a lot better in the game thread.

 

That being said, I think Beechwood will score against Holy Cross. The question is can they fix the defense. I don't think Beechwood can get it all fixed this week and Holy Cross will get their points too. I see Beechwood winning this one 31-28.
