I too believe that Russell will play their best game of the season against Ashland but it won`t be good enough to win.

Russell’s 0-45 loss at Ironton last week will not break their spirit – they’re too well coached for that. And Russell rarely loses at home. I think they will play inspired football and will come out gunning for the Tomcats.

 

Ashland has not won at Henry R. Evans stadium since 2003 when Tyler Baldridge was our QB (he was playing on a broken foot). It was Leon Hart’s first year leading the Tomcats.

 

Since then coach Hart’s record against Russell is 3-3. The wins came in ’03, ’06 and ’08; with the losses in ’04, ’05 and ’07.

 

Despite Russell’s best efforts; I think the Tomcats will hand the Devils a rare home loss. I think the Tomcats will show up focused and ready and that Coach Hart’s record against Russell will improve to 4-3.
