September 9, 200917 yr Actually, it gets underway at 11 a.m. I guess that's one of the things we'll be sacrificing with "the worldwide leader" taking over the broadcasts from USA Network. USA always came on at 11 a.m. One of the great things about the US Open is those random thrilling matches that run well past midnight, where the rowdy, often drunk NYC crowd comes heavily into play in the outcome. This could be one of those matches, Jim. Especially with two flamboyant shotmakers.

September 10, 200917 yr Federer absolutely tanked that third set tiebreak. He was up 4-0, then lost 6 of the next 7 points. He lost 4 points on serve after that 4-0 start.

September 10, 200917 yr It's amazing how a tennis match can change. Federer was completely dominating, and out of the blue Soderling starts smashing the ball all over the court. Federer is awesome to watch. He makes some of the most amazing shots and does it on a regular basis. There were some points in the third and fourth sets of that match last night where Soderling did everything right and still lost the point because Federer has an uncanny ability to make incredible shots. Hoping for a Federer vs. Nadal final. But, I'm nervous about Djokovic. I think Federer will have his hands full.
