As for people commenting on R.R. on this thread......his thread was about Michigan and R.R.. JMO I don't care what happens to either one (RR or Michigan) either. Actually, this doesn't sound like a major violation to me but who knows with all of the NCAA rules now.

Your post, "Nothing would surprise me out of RR." That leads one to believe that he would/does bend or break the rules more frequently than everyone else. My point, while that may even be true, this rules violation (allegedly) doesn't prove that.

I think this is a practice that is very common place in any college program. To me, the bigger issue is the fact that players are the ones bringing this out in the open. It seems like they are trying to get RR fired. That will have more of an impact on the UM program than any possible punishments handed down.

September 1, 200917 yr Michigan is in trouble no doubt. With only 3 wins last year and now this. Which I also understand the offensive personnel was not there to run a Rich Rod offense last season. But he didn't accel very well in the recruitment either. Last time I looked which was a long time ago. The only good recruit he nailed was a fast athletic QB. Which I suppose looking at his career at WVU this makes sense. Look at what he did with Pat White. I am die hard Michigan fan always have been always will be. And I was one of the people yelling at Carr for not getting with the times! I really wanted some new formations into the offense. But with the bowl win over Florida I was sad to see him go. And hey someones gotta represent the big ten and actually beat the SEC teams!

I'm definitely not a fan of RR either. However, this unfortunate situation was caused by him getting scammed in an illegal Ponzi scheme. It's kind of like the Madoff fiasco - many smart people have been burned by that one. RR probably deserves a break on this one, at least from the fans and the media.

Last years class was just outside the top 10. So far this year he has some nice players to go along with D. Gardner at qb. The Robinson kid is a stud at safety and will propably be a LB. The number 3 rated cb is all but commited. After a 3-9 season he will finish with a top 15 class which isn't that bad. We will be fine and it is nice to have a few UM fans on here.

People need to post all the facts about things before they post. No one seems to post when several parents of players contact the Free Press and stand up for him and say these reports are false. Most have no clue the detroit free press is a very MSU biast newspaper and the reporter who reported this has had an agenda against him since he got the job. The only positive I have noticed out of this is MOST Michigan fans are fed up with these witch hunts and are finally getting behind their coach and supporting him.
September 2, 200917 yr One of my main concerns (if any with Michigan ) was R.R. coming in and lets say operating "less than legit". R.R. was a bum that could not be trusted when they hired him, what made them think he would change then? I am no doubt an OSU fan but I did respect Michigan and L. Carr, Schembechkler before him. I wanted to beat them but both were class acts and I respected them. I had no respect for R.R. before and still don't. As for this charge, I have no idea and am not jumping on them, just saying that nothing would suprise me out of R.R.. Most Buckeye fans forget RR has never been in charge of a program that was put on probation due to things that went on when he was in charge, and had his current institution severly watched for the same thing during his time at that school. That is a fact just ask YSU.
