By all accounts Ashland is the real deal and they have put up great numbers so far. They will pose a lot of problems and will be a stern test for the Pirates, who have started slow and are still finding themselves.

 

Belfry teams typically start a little slow and show a marked improvement over the first few weeks of the season. We saw an improvement last week and I expect will see a positive change this week also. I'm not sure if it will be enough to compete with the Tomcats, but I feel good about the prospects.

Yes, it is a 8pm kickoff, I believe it has to do with some issues involving the buses for the Tomcats.

Ashland is getting a lot of support here. But, this is a big test for the Tomcats. They havn't played on the road yet and this is a very tough place to play. I hope they show up ready to play hard. They will need their best game to beat Belfry at Belfry.

I've got to back the Tomcats in this. But, I do not think it will be easy. The Tomcats better come ready to play and leave it all on the field. Belfry is always good.

Ashland escapes the CAM thanks to their speed on defense. A late turnover and defensive touchdown lifts the Tomcats over the Pirates.

Boyd Counties defense never stopped Belfry, they stopped themselves with penalties and mistakes. Belfry had 2 runners gain 100 yards on Boyd. That being said, I think Ashland will take this one. Belfry is young and much smaller then years past but I also think it will be close at least until halftime. I would say Ashland by 2 TD's.

 

I just checked the Chinese calender..........I think it is the year of the Cat.

 

Trouble with that is they aren't playing this game in China.
