Harlan County did score. It was a long run by McMillian. They also got right down to the well on the last drive and ran out of time. So to act like the ball was not moved is not true.

 

How can you gage a team on a grid? Neither team had the other scouted. This means a lot to the defense when you have a team scouted and know how to line up. HC played great defense after the defense got adjusted and lined up right. Several kids played for HC on that night. In a real game, it would be the best on the field at all times.

I forgot about the score in the 2nd part of the varsity scrimmage, after the JV played. Sorry. They did not score in the first part of the varsity scrimmage.

Harlan County had eight first downs overall in the varsity part of the scrimmage.

Corbin will pull this one out late 28-14. Harlan has a very good Class A team this season. They should be the second best team in the region this year, other than Pikeville.

Not sure Fritts will play and Jewell maybe questionable due to an ankle injury as well. I could be wrong on Jewell, but I about 100 % positive Fritts will not be playing this week.

Foley is the starting Fullback when all is healthy but its all according to what set Coach Farris starts the game with is how they line up.They are sets that will have the FourHorse man in many looks before the season is over and Watkins Fritts Taylor getting most of the carries.Which could be and should be dangerous Mitchell will get better and he should be able to open things up down the road with Manns House an Taylor catching the ball. Corbin wins this one by 21. And will get better each week.

I am sure Foley will be in the backfield since Fritts is not able to go this evening. On defense, I would say Hoover to Safety and Sowders moving up to a Backer position. Those are strictly guesses on my part. Fans will have to show up tonight to see who gets in at what positions.

Corbin 38 Harlan 14. Someone said Corbin had not been to Harlan in 34 years, its usually a good football atmosphere there. Does Harlan still play "Crazy Train", when they come on to the field? Always loved that.
