Folks, Corbin isn't very good! If Harlan City can play any at all it should be 2 td's or less!

 

You find me somebody on Harlans team or even in the town that can keep up with a guy runs a 4.4 forty! I don't think Harlan City can play at all, they played CG and somebody I talked to said they probably won't win a game this year!

Corbin wins, and when they are done will have played everybody but the concession stand workers.

Sounds good but if you get physically beat bad it could and has ruined more than a season or two. But, after seeing Corbin that isn't a threat so Coach might be right on this one. Corbin didn't seem very physical.

I was at the scrimmage the other night and got to see both teams. This is a mis-match, even if many people see this Corbin team as a "bad" Corbin team.

 

Corbin is a tad questionable on the pass right now, but from what I saw when Harlan played Cumberland Gap, Corbin will not need to pass. I can't see the Dragons stopping Fritz or Watkins enough to have a chance.

 

I don't even know if Harlan will be able to score on the Hounds varsity. Harlan County did not score and are quite a bit better than the Dragons offensively, IMO. Harlan may score on Corbin's JVs late, but that is not a given.

 

I'm going to say something like:

Good point. Harlan County did move the ball and only ran 2 offensive plays the entire game. McMillian scored on a 20 some yard run and and we did have the ball on the 8 when time ran out. Really is hard to gage from a scrimmage but we shall see?

Taking it a step further, Corbin had 2 plays for a touchdown. The defense was lost on one and several missed tackles on the other. Take those two plays away and Corbin did little or nothing offensively. I think the paper had them without a 1st down the last 15 min.

I forgot about the score in the 2nd part of the varsity scrimmage, after the JV played. Sorry. They did not score in the first part of the varsity scrimmage.

 

As far as not scoring due to the clock running out, missed tackles, defensive mistakes, etc. well, that happens to everyone sooner or later, scrimmage or game. Part of the game.

 

I forgot the TD BUT, to reinterate, I never said that HCHS dind not move the ball. That is putting words in my mouth.

I also said I thought your Offense was better than Harlan Ind.'s.

I did say that HCHS had a better OFFENSE than HARLAN INDEPENDENT and had trouble SCORING (with a mistake on the one td) on CHS.

If this had been a real game, by points, no matter what, CHS wins 2 tds to 1.

I was making the point that if HCHS was having trouble with CHS's Defense, I can't see Harlan Ind. doing it better with the offense they run.

Nah. I just did not want it to look like I said something I didn't. That gets a LOT started on here.

Then maybe they should play there big brother in the county. Then it would be a win, win, WIN situation. if you get beat, you were supposed to, if you win it's huge, and You would make enough gate money to run your whole season.
