August 28, 200917 yr Their ability to make money is less a testament to their business acumen than it is to the power of the NFL and the limited options we have. Agreed. The purpose of any game is to win and since 1991 the Bengals have not done that very well.
August 28, 200917 yr The knock on Myluga is that he goes for the big play so much that he misses the fundamental plays a lot of times. Also his pass coverage. I'm anxious to see him full gear in the regular season. I think the pass stuff might be overhyped a bit. I tell you what I love is the feeling he along with Rivers is finally going to bring an identity to the defense that hasn't had one. He seems humble but brings some swag in the middle much like R. Lewis does for the Ravens. Different personalitites but you know both will knock your head off in the middle!

Right now he's just trying to make up for missing some camp time and reassuring some quality PT. We all know the best way for a LB to do that is to fly around and get to the football which can also lead to them being overy excited a bit. It'll slow down for him soon I'm sure. He's just raw right now.
August 28, 200917 yr ^ I love the energy he plays with...it's something we have missed since the Odell debacle

August 28, 200917 yr If you were the owner you wouldn't be saying that. Then why do any owners care about winning? Seems to me like most do care. They want to make money, obviously, but they want to make money while winning.
August 28, 200917 yr Whatever happened to Odell? Figured someone would take a chance on him. Surely Goodell would have to ok him coming back by now. Odell Thurman is playing in the new UFL for the Orlando Tuskers last I heard. His name was on the roster when they released it in early August.
August 28, 200917 yr Can't believe there is no discussion on the game last night. 3rd week is dress rehearsal week for the starters.
August 28, 200917 yr Can't believe there is no discussion on the game last night. 3rd week is dress rehearsal week for the starters. They were embarassingly bad again. I left after the defensive TD by the Rams. Palmer will get seriously injured this year.

He got a raw deal IMO. It was when Goodell wanted to make an example of the Bengals and Odell happened to be the whipping child.
August 28, 200917 yr They were embarassingly bad again. I left after the defensive TD by the Rams. Palmer will get seriously injured this year. I was there. Punt returns were the highlights. O line is putrid again. The punter may be MVP this season. And please apologists, no, "its only preseason". Just face it. The Bengals are a joke.
August 28, 200917 yr I just wonder if the new Bengals Place Kicker from Wake Forest is staying at the Popham household? Sam Swank was the starting PK at Wake when Shane "The Vacuum" Popham from CovCath signed with Wake Forest!

The Bengals are a joke. I'm going to throw this out there. I believe Carson's elbow isn't right. There's no way a sprained ankle would keep him out of the 3rd preseason game when he didn't play any of the last 12 games last year. I've heard from someone that believes he's done being a very good QB b/c of the arm injury.
