August 11, 200917 yr Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are calling it quits after 20 years of making music together. They will tour one last time in 2010. Together they've scored 23 No. 1 hits. I remember back in the day as a young child I used to sing along to the tunes of "Boot Scootin' Boogie". They will never be forgotten that's for sure! More..
August 11, 200917 yr They were a great duo... And with the "rift" You know after 20 years you are probably tired of each other or minor things like that but you can probably guarantee that they love each other and are like brothers.
August 11, 200917 yr I quit liking them when they pulled my girlfriend on stage when we were in high school. I wasn't there or I would have looked ole boy up after the show lol. Seriously they have won a slew of awards.
August 11, 200917 yr Actually I think the 'rift' i was referring to involved Montgomery Gentry. Sorry for the confusion
August 11, 200917 yr If we can get the rest of their peers to follow suit then MAYBE country radio will be worth listening to.
August 11, 200917 yr I may be in the minority here, but I welcome this news... I don't necessarily welcome it but I have never been much of a fan. I just really don't care one way or the other.
August 11, 200917 yr It's mostly that the voice of the lead singer (I don't know if it's Brooks or Dunn) grates on me like nails on a blackboard.
August 11, 200917 yr I had a good friend who played guitar with them for over 12 years. He left them a couple of years ago. He said Brooks could be difficult but Dunn was a great guy. He just got back from touring with Colin Raye. So what is the scoop on the rift with Montgomery Gentry?
August 11, 200917 yr From my experience people either love it or hate it, but I am a big fan of "I Believe". I really enjoy the song "Red Dirt Road" as well.
