August 11, 200917 yr I've enjoyed most of their music over the years. It's hard to believe that these two strangers were placed together by a music executive 20+ years ago. They were asked to give it a try, and the rest is history.

So that is 2 lead singers. I guess you don't like either. But it's all good. :thumb:
August 13, 200917 yr Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are calling it quits after 20 years of making music together. They will tour one last time in 2010. Together they've scored 23 No. 1 hits. I remember back in the day as a young child I used to sing along to the tunes of "Boot Scootin' Boogie". They will never be forgotten that's for sure! More.. :lol: I remember back in the days when I was 30ish I used to sing along to those same songs.
August 14, 200917 yr Still crankin out hits after all these years unlike some of the overnight successes you have already forgot about. I will surely miss them. Obviously if your not a country music fan you wont like them but I would think the majority of true country fans will miss them as well.

True country fans never cared about them -- or any of the other schlock that passes for country music nowadays -- to begin with.

Gee thanks for having an opinion for me. I agree that much of the country today is garbage but these guys are pretty solid. I will give you the fact that recently they have gotten off the path a little. However it is totally unfair to compare them to alot of todays artists. If you listen to some of their stuff that has not actually been released as singles, like Ive got alot to learn, now thats country. Ill put my love for country music up against anyone and I am pretty critical of the POP country but these guys helped bring a little energy to country while staying somewhat true to the traditional side of things.

Most of them absolutely not, actually only a couple ever and I consider him as many do the King of Country.The point is they are good, very good. You don't win duo of the year for over a decade and not be good. I have listened to everything from Merle,Conway, George, George, Vern, Loretta , Tammy, Waylon, Sr,Jr, you get the picture. These guys would make my top 20-25 all time no doubt.
