July 28, 200917 yr Author They weren't even 14 points better than every team they played THAT YEAR. They only beat Va. Tech by 2 and Boston College by 11, and truly, they were lucky to escape that Boston College game. Nothing like a fortuitous bounce that leads to an INT TD with under a minute left and BC on the Miami 9. Nebraska won one game by less than 23 points in 1995, and that was a two TD victory versus Washington State. Two words...Larry Coker. With Butch the Canes would have been easily better than any other team. The Virginia Tech game just got close at the end, and the BC game was just one of those days. Don't you remember how windy it was (KD 4 INT)? Just one of those survive and advance games. When the Hurricanes actually came to play no one was close to them. The 01 Canes won by nearly 33 PPG, giving up only 9.75 PPG. Even with Coker holding them back the Canes were up 34-0 on Nebraska at the half. I just don't think anyone stands up to them..... Ken Dorsey, Andre Johnson, Clinton Portis, Frank Gore, Bryant McKinnie, Willis MacGahee, Najah Davenport, Roscoe Parrish, Jeremy Shockey, Kellen Winslow, Vince Wilfork, Jerome McDougle, Jon Vilma, DJ Williams, Ed Reed, Mike Rumph, Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, Phillip Buchanon, Vernon Carey, Antrell Rolle, Kelly Jennings, Eric Winston, Todd Sievers. I don't think that '95 Nebraska could match up with that. And '95 Nebraska is the by far 2nd best Title team of all-time.

July 28, 200917 yr I really think that you can't list a team with a loss as the best ever! I thought it was asking what I thought the best team from my favorite team (FSU) was. This was a National Championship winning team. I also think that team was better than the 1999 team.
July 29, 200917 yr I thought it was asking what I thought the best team from my favorite team (FSU) was. This was a National Championship winning team. I also think that team was better than the 1999 team. I think it was saying who do you think was the BEST team...that said, if you don't go undefeated, the other team has an argument.
July 29, 200917 yr I think it was saying who do you think was the BEST team...that said, if you don't go undefeated, the other team has an argument. Yeah, looking at everyone's posts, I was looking at it wrong. I really only follow the teams I like in college football so I can't give an educated answer as to who I think the best team ever in college football is. College football is an area I like, but I don't it know as well as I do other sports.

Best moment/game that involved your team(s) Either Stevie Johnson catching the winning TD against Louisville in 2007 or "The tackle" against #1 LSU later that season. Most heartbreaking defeat for your team in your opinion?Too many to choose from- the Bluegrass Miracle with the LSU hail mary probably hurt the worst.
