Rush2112 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 (edited) Who is the top 15 13u players in Kentucky the past season? Edited July 27, 2009 by gold sunrise Rule 13
stick1 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Lawrence Co has a team playing in Chicago right now that is 4-1. I know they beat Hawaii + Alaska then split with Queens. My nephew Luke Trimble is now at Paintsville but used to play with them. That whole crew is good just not a lot of size.
afi100guy Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Here are some of the ones that I have seen this year and their AAU teams. Not a complete list though. KY Elite 14U - Jackson Davis KY Elite 13U - Snoop Johnson, Trey Grundy, Teddy Ware, Shane Hall Tar Heels - Brandon Hatton, Zach McNeil, Jalen Beal Wolfpack - Brendan Stanley (12U), Nate Verst, Garrett Geiman, Tanner Moeves Scott County 14U - Dylan Portwood Of these, I think Jackson Davis has the most potential. He is already 6'5" with more to come. He is the son of former UK player Johnathan Davis.
coach4life Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Mustafa Diaw is back in Kentucky. He is back in Boone County and going into 8th grade. I saw him play last weekend against a 15U Cincy Bulls team from Ohio and a 16U team from Ohio. He was pretty impressive and is definitely going to be a player to watch for in the next couple of years.
HoosierDaddy Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 From what I have witnessed which is mainly NKY players Brandon Hatton Zach McNeil Dylan Portwood Jackson Davis I know last year Brandon and Dylan were one and two in the state.

His size and athleticism are impressive!

McCormick is actually from Wilmington, OH so I am not sure how he was on this list in the first place.
TAC Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I'm shocked by the lack of size of the kids on the Hoops Report list. Only 3 of them at 6'? I also think McNeil is a miss on this list. Lights out shooter with plenty of upside.

Lights out shooter with plenty of upside. This is an old list from last summer 2008. There are 3 players who shouldn't be on the list any longer. Most are taller than the sizes listed.
southernkyhoops Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 McNeil, Moeves,Langford, Shane Hall, and Hall from Moss Middle (PG). That would make 15. That would be a nice list but I would rank them a whole lot differently.

Rainman11 Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 McNeil, Moeves,Langford, Shane Hall, and Hall from Moss Middle (PG). That would make 15. That would be a nice list but I would rank them a whole lot differently. I would definitely change the Top 15, although I haven't seen a couple of players but once or twice so it would be hard to rank an order. But, by the time these kids are sophomores, 1/2 of the them probably won't be on the Top 15 list anyway. But, at this moment, you would have to add a couple of the Louisville Legends big kids -- Craig (he played in nationals with KY Elite) and Kaelin (sp?). Not sure of either of there last names. Plus, Derek Smith All Stars had a 3 man (I think from Louisville) that was real strong and athletic in the AAU state, but I don't know his name.
