July 20, 200917 yr I think alligators are cool and all, but I don't know if they're THAT cool...
July 20, 200917 yr Author How far is that gator from your living area? Is it in a lake on the premisis? It is literally in a lagoon right off the back deck. The posts of the deck are about 5' from the water's edge. Here is another picture to illustrate the closeness:
July 20, 200917 yr Author Are you feeding your son to it? It was anxiously awaiting one of them to fall through the deck railing.
July 20, 200917 yr This thread marks the end of any time I'll say anything negative about Wireman. If you'd dangle your son over the gators, I don't know what you'd do to me  Just kidding my man. Where are staying anyways?

July 20, 200917 yr My wife's grandparents own a condo here. It is in the Palmetto Dunes area. That's a great place to be- not right smack in the middle of the bars and ensuing craziness, but close enough to head down there for some fun. Have a nice vacation :thumb:
July 21, 200917 yr I caught a 30 lb. stingray this morning:  How did you get that thing off the hook?
July 21, 200917 yr Author  How did you get that thing off the hook? It took 45 minutes to just get it on the beach. It was 2x bigger than my net, so netting it was out of the question. It had already dislodged its stinger somehow, but still had some left on. It was trying like crazy to sting me, but a bystander held the tail down with a piece of driftwood while I unhooked it. By the time it all ended, there was a crowd of 25-30 people watching. Talk about pressure to land the thing and not do anything crazy!
July 21, 200917 yr I have been canoeing befor and I've seen gators like this up close. Its amazing getting so close but it makes your blood ruse because you get nervous but it was amazing. Edited July 21, 200917 yr by bugatti

July 22, 200917 yr Author So what did you do with it? :notworthy: Two things: 1) I caught a shark on the beach yesterday and was escorted to the house; despite my pleas, I was told that it was illegal to shark fish :bunny: 2) Just when I thought the alligator situation couldn't get any better, I came upon this today:
