I think he will sorely miss TJ's ability to go over the middle and pull people away from him. Before somebody loses it, I know that Coles is now here, but Losing TJ was a big loss for the Bengals. I'm a steeler fan but I always respected the way TJ played the game of football. He had his moments where he acted out but at least they were football related, more than I can say for this Ocho cinco clown. Go ahead and tweet about your team going 8-8 and how you helped them get that record with your stupid endzone celebrations and your quickfinger tweeting ability. :deadhorse:

 

I like what the Bengals have at WR. I think they'll be able to absorb the loss of TJ and move on. That doesn't mean he wasn't a great player for them, but he's a possession receiver, not a game changer. He wasn't worth the price tag, IMO, and they made a good decision to let him go and not overpay to keep him.

Well let's see, Chad has always been a downfield receiver. Most routes he runs and balls he catches are in the 15-20 yard vicinity. With Palmer out, and a QB under center who had a better chance of running the ball 15 yards than he did actually accurately making a pass of that distance, his opportunities were severely limited. Now, he did struggle no doubt, but with Palmer under center he has a normal Chad season.

So all those sideline shots of players sitting on the benches drinking gatorade and cracking jokes with one another are ok, but him taking 30-40 seconds to tweet is taboo?

 

So all the pictures of the players sitting around joking or sitting alone drinking gatorade are photo-shopped, and all they really do on the sidelines is go over plays and what changes to make?

I don't think Chad Twittering during a game will be a distration. The distraction comes the following week when everyone asks Chad about his tweets where he is questioning the coaches, questioning his teammates, questioning the playcalling, or talking smack about players on the other team when they are getting beat.

 

To me, there's the distraction. Not the 10 seconds it takes him to tweet during the game. Or find someone who can tweet and spell for him.

It blows my mind that people think it's OK to have your cell phone sitting on the sideline to tweat during a football game lol! Are you serious! I don't know how anybody that has played football and understands the team concept could even phathom it as being OK to sit on the sideline playing on a cell phone! In all honesty you should just protest for the XFL to come back! This is the NFL and not the XFL! Thank God there are people running the business that don't want it to turn out like the XFL!

Bingo on CJ tweating on things that should stay in house. It's a recipie for disaster. I can tell you right now if I was his coach and he pulled that garbage I would bench him even if it's for the season. Tweat all you want but you will be costing yourself millions of dollars for being so selfish!

Obviously that is not right either. Especially in the midst of a close game when you should be focusing. For each snapshot of these guys making jokes, there are 50 other snapshots not shown with players and coaches actually talking strategy and trying to win a game.

 

If you are a big boy boss and you want your employees nailing the Thursday afternoon presentation, when it becomes your partner's turn to speak for a couple minutes, you do not want the other guy in front of everyone else tweeting.

 

Do I think this would play a deciding factor in a game? Most likely not. But being a professional requires some degree of professionalism.

What does it matter if it's the same guy or not? If a player has time to sit by himself, while the games going on, and sip on some gatorade, why can't he use that time to send a quick tweet? Unless there's some sort of team bonding experience that goes with drinking gatorade all by yourself I'm not familiar with....
