ChadOchoStinko is not distraction to the field play with his off the field antics. Josh Hamilton was a horrible distraction and his off the field stuff to the Reds affected how the Reds played. Very consistent positions there.

I said he treated his teammates like garbage (fact), and they disliked him, also a fact. Hamilton being a jerk has/had no impact on how the Reds performed on the field. For me, making sure I get to my cell phone while on the clock seems like a bit of a disruption. If there was no discussion of strategy or coaching going on while Chad is on the sidelines, I would agree with your point. But the fact is, when Chad comes off the field, he has about 8-10 minutes to be meeting with Carson, position coach, OL, etc. about what the defense is doing. Taking a couple of those minutes to let his fans know what is on his mind would not set well with me if I were his teammate.
July 16, 200917 yr The thread I started about Chad and the twittering including this very discussion, I don't see how anyone can defend his childish behavior. I'm a Bengals fan through and through and I'm ready to see him go away, for good. I hope he puts up monster numbers this year (doubtful) and then the Bengals are actually smart enough to move him.

July 16, 200917 yr The whole moving in with Carson thing was a joke. He wasn't serious about that. Also, people, let's not act like Carson is such a straight arrow, who never gets in trouble. Right it was one of many jokes and things to draw attention to himself...HOWEVER it is multiple cameras + michraphones in Carsons face with him having to explain that Chad is a bafoon. It is also Carson having to explain to his wife that he had no idea and that it's Chad being Chad a look at me guy. The point is if you are a solid teammate you don't continue to hang your teammates out causing them stress that doesn't need to be there. When you do it time and time again it just continues to fester. On top of that CJ straight up said he didn't work out last year because he was mad (pretty much pouting because he didn't get his way)... great teammate there! Then you look at the dropoff in his production and it is even more frustrating! Just shut up and play! There's a reason guys like Larry Fitz + Hines Ward were in the Super Bowl last year! TEAM PLAYERS on teams that buy into the team philosophy! Think about this what teams have been to the Super Bowl lately? Pitts New England Arz NY Tenn Rams (greatest show on turf eddition) Car Philly There's a reason those teams were there and it mostly has to do with them buying into the team concept. You had T.O. the one year and Plax a little but that's about it! If Cincy ever wants to be taken seriously then they have to buy into the team first philosophy not the look at me... please look at me by one individual! I would get his cancer rear away from my young guys! Thank God they got L. Coles who is a PROFESSIONAL and will help out the younger WR's! Trust me I pull for Chad to do the right thing and hope he does. Now days I don't count on it at all though. Because your apologizing for 85's bad clubhouse influence is inconsistent with your harsh take on Hamilton's negative clubhouse influence while in Cincy. Why does Chad get a pass from you but Hamilton doesn't?
