July 16, 200917 yr Chad Johnson is a side show. He's not good enough to get the attention on the field anymore so he's trying to do everything possible off the field to keep the attention on him. He'll stink it up even more this year most likely IMO. He's in the best shape of his career, and has looked great thus far in the workouts or whatever they are. If I had to predict the type of year he's going to have, I'd go somewhere along the lines of 75-85 catches, 1000-1200 yards, 6-8 TDs....
July 16, 200917 yr ^I think Chad will be good this year. At the least, he should crack the 1000 yard barrier again. That's obviously dependent upon Palmer's health. Just how much Chad can produce, IMO, will depend a lot on the o-line...if they can perform well enough to establish a run game and give Carson time to throw, the Bengals offense could be really explosive in '09.

I agree.

I think he will sorely miss TJ's ability to go over the middle and pull people away from him. Before somebody loses it, I know that Coles is now here, but Losing TJ was a big loss for the Bengals. I'm a steeler fan but I always respected the way TJ played the game of football. He had his moments where he acted out but at least they were football related, more than I can say for this Ocho cinco clown. Go ahead and tweet about your team going 8-8 and how you helped them get that record with your stupid endzone celebrations and your quickfinger tweeting ability. :deadhorse:

July 16, 200917 yr This moron's going to Tweet how he zigged and Carson threw a zag. Or Carson should've audibled to him and didn't. Nothing good will come of him tweeting during the games. NOTHING! Regardless, all of the "Chad being Chad" does nothing but give fuel to the player's he's going against. Why on earth would you want to motivate anyone more than they already are?
July 16, 200917 yr TJ is the one who is going to struggle without Chad.... I bet he doesn't miss all of these off the field distractions.
July 16, 200917 yr I think it would be cool if we could tweet him back. "Chad, why'd you run the wrong route"? "Chad, how come you dropped that pass, that was right in your hands"? "Chad, what's up with sitting on the ground after a fumble, and not pursuing the play"? "Chad, how come TJ still had a good year, even though CP was out and you didn't"? "Chad, did you not know where the sideline was when you caught that pass 3 feet out of bounds"? And so on, and so on..... Now that would be entertaining.
July 16, 200917 yr I bet he doesn't miss all of these off the field distractions. Which will have zero impact on the fact that he's not going to produce at the same level....
July 16, 200917 yr "Chad, how come TJ still had a good year, even though CP was out and you didn't"? There's an obvious answer to that one, but I'm sure you all with just dismiss it....
July 16, 200917 yr Multiple factors will decide how he does on the field, Chad Ocho Stinko will not be one of them.
July 16, 200917 yr There's an obvious answer to that one, but I'm sure you all with just dismiss it.... I would like to hear it.
July 16, 200917 yr Maybe Chad will tweet us the answer. COchocinco: I was open the whole time, The QB is horrible and couldn't get me the ball. Wait till I get in the Endzone next, get your snacks ready. Tweet Tweet
July 16, 200917 yr I would like to hear it. Well let's see, Chad has always been a downfield receiver. Most routes he runs and balls he catches are in the 15-20 yard vicinity. With Palmer out, and a QB under center who had a better chance of running the ball 15 yards than he did actually accurately making a pass of that distance, his opportunities were severely limited. Now, he did struggle no doubt, but with Palmer under center he has a normal Chad season.
