I think he has used, just like most people in MLB have. I also don't care and wish they were allowed to use. If they want to destroy their bodies for millions of dollars for my entertainment, I say let them have at it. Baseball isn't as fun to watch anymore. Plus EVERYBODY was taking the juice. Yeah, the numbers were video game like, but I loved it. Manny is my favorite player with ARod right after him.

 

 

Looking at the list of possible users, I would find it very hard to believe that a guy like Pujols who came from out of nowhere in the early 2000's and wasn't juicing. He has some of the best numbers ever for a player in their first 3-5 years of their careers, but I am supposed to believe that in this era he wasn't on the juice?:ohbrother::idunno:

A football player test positive and nothing is even hardly said. They are welcomed back with open arms.

Do people just not want to think/say Pujols used steroids or performing enhancing drugs just because he is one of the last few "good guys" left in the league? I think people want to have that 1 or 2 players they can say never used anything so they can feel better about the game in general.

If you are a cards fan he is a likable guy. I see him as very arrogant and cocky to a far greater extent than anyone else in the MLB. It might just be me but he really rubs me the wrong way and I just don't like him for whatever reason.

 

That's because you're a Reds fan & he kills us. I have no idea whether or not he used any type of PED, but he seems like a stand-up guy. But then again, there are plenty of nice guys who use steroids (or whatever PED it may be.)

 

HT I wish I could say yes as a diehard Cub fan, but I can't. Did you read the article on him in SI a few months ago. Totally changed my view of him, and I admire his hustle, dude busts it on every play. For example this past weekend when they played the Cubs, he hit a TOWERING pop up to short, which Theriot lost in the sun, he was already right at 2nd when the ball hit the ground and the Cubs luckily got him out, but I have to tip my hat to that kinda effort

The difference is every football player is tested, or at least has been under a strict testing regime for years. The MLBPA prevented that for a long time, and now the truth has started to surface.

 

Think about it. Too many great players in the past decade have used PED's. Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, Palmeiro, A-Rod, Pettite. The list goes on & on.

Yes. I would take ARod every time over "I hit singles or ground into double plays" Jeter. ARod also made less errors at short than Jeter before ARod became a Yankee.

 

4 rings, the Yankees got those 4 rings because they had great pitching staffs. Jeter was only a small part of the equation. Out of those 4 rings he only has 1 World Series MVP's so it's not like carried the team to victory in all 4 World Series. Not to mention he hasn't won a ring since 2000, but again, the Yankees lack of pitching is why they don't win rings anymore.

 

Also, it took ARod coming to the Yankees and moving to third for Jeter to even win a Gold Glove at SS. ARod won in 02' and 03', came to the Yanks in 04' and Jeter won the Gold Glove in 04', 05' and 06'.

 

 

The only thing Jeter has on ARod is rings which is due to Jeter being on better teams, not Jeter being a better player. ARod is a superior player to Jeter and always will be.

 

As for the postseason average, all I can say is that many many great baseball players had horrible postseason averages. Some great baseball players don't even make it to the postseason. You can use that for an argument as to who is better all you want, but PED's or not ARod has and always will be a better player than Jeter.

 

Jeter is and always will be the most overrated Yankee ever.

Alex Rodriguez is a better player than Derek Jeter, and has been throughout his career.

Yes, through the times they were not tested and now in the times that they are tested. There has not a drop in his production and this year even better numbers.

I kind of thought the same thing. Just the smirk he has on his face when batting would make me want to put one behind his ear. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised with his interview the other night. He came off as humble and very respectful of the Cardinals legend players that were in attendance. Struck me as well spoken, intelligent and a pretty good guy.
