Gatewood is a very, very smart, entertaining man, and he is an outstnading lawyer.

I have met him a couple of times and he was very friendly and nice as could be. One of those wasn't when he was campaigning either.

So, are you going to vote for him?

Depends on who else is in the campaign, but there is nothing about Gatewood, including the polestar marijuana issue, that would cause me to turn away from him.

I'll be interested to see who the GOP runs...possibly the losers from the '10 Senate campaign.

I would have preferred that Trey Grayson run for Governor. I also don't think that Anne Northup's career is over, either.

Im glad to see his campaigns now not being looked on like a joke. He was ahead of his time with the marijuana issue....an issue that I think many voters are viewing differently! Whether Kentuckians are ready to vote for a pro marijuana candidate remains to be seen but I certainly like him for his guts. 5 times running for governer and having been the punch line of many jokes hasnt slowed him down any....that much deserves respect. And if people put the marijuana issue out of the way and listen to what the man has to say, he really makes a lot of sense on many things. The last time he ran he had an interesting education plan, taxation plan and health care ideas! Im looking forward to hearing him speak this campaign!!:thumb:

You are correct. I love how he is able to out debate anyone. The problem is everyone is afraid if he is ever elected Ky. they will not make as much money of pot, because of the tax.

I always considered him a joke before. Since my bluegrasspreps brethern say he has much more to offer I will listen to him in more detail this time around. It's not like candidates from the major parties have backed up any of their campaign claims forever.

He will get my vote.

I'd be happy to vote for him. The framing of him by the state's largest media outlets as a fringe candidate running on a single issue has cost him dearly, unfortunately, and will likely prevent him from ever attaining statewide office. Too many people can't look past the single issue and see how reasonable, thoughtful and practical he is and would be for our state.

I would not vote for him because of that single issue.

Seen that stuff ruin too many lives for it to be legal in this state.

Can the people claiming he'd be a wonderful Governor provide some specifics of his past platform that they've liked so much. Being a warm person and/or good lawyer isn't quite enough to garner my vote. Thanks.
