July 16, 200917 yr Rumors were circulating that the Braves were thinking about sending Escobar and prospects to Oakland for Holliday, Cabrera and some cash. I hope that doesn't happen.
July 16, 200917 yr Pirates pushing hard to deal Freddy Sanchez.. At least 7 teams are interested in him. www.mlbtraderumors.com I'm hearing Pittsburgh may trade Freddy to the Giants for Jonathon Sanchez so they won't have to buy new jerseys
July 16, 200917 yr Author Rumors were circulating that the Braves were thinking about sending Escobar and prospects to Oakland for Holliday, Cabrera and some cash. I hope that doesn't happen. I would think about that trade. Yeah it sucks but if Holliday could become half of what he was, and we could have infante play SS as a stop gap then get draft picks if Holliday leaves or he could sign an extension and stay. Braves need help.
July 16, 200917 yr I think the Dodgers need Halladay in the worst way. I'm pretty sure they have thrown more bullpen innings than anybody. He would give those guys arms a lot of rest.
July 16, 200917 yr I wish the Reds would deal for Holliday. I think he would light it up at GABP. Any good 3rd basemen on the market?
July 16, 200917 yr Anyone who trades for Holliday is acquiring him for half of a season most likely, unless they are willing to pay this off season.
July 16, 200917 yr I wish the Reds would deal for Holliday. I think he would light it up at GABP. Any good 3rd basemen on the market? Yep. Scott Rolen.
July 17, 200917 yr Reds 3B tonight.... 3-3, HR, 4 RBI, 1 R, BB But only .203 27 Runs 6 Homeruns and 28 RBIs .288 On Base in 87 games entering tonight.
July 17, 200917 yr He is just now healthy for the 1st time this year. He deserves some time to prove he should be here, which he should.
July 17, 200917 yr Author Escobar hit a solo homerun tonight giving him 8 on the year. In related news, some Braves officials have said they have absolutely no intention of trading Escobar unless they are provided a trade that can't refuse.
July 17, 200917 yr He is just now healthy for the 1st time this year. He deserves some time to prove he should be here, which he should. I think the Reds have been more than patient with Edwin. He deserves time to prove he should be here? Why? For his stellar .262 BA, or his average of 72 RBI a season, or maybe his 89 K's per season, or that .936 Fielding %? I have always backed EE, but I dont know how he "deserves" some time to prove anything. If you can get a guy like Scott Rolen, you go for it.

I would love Scott Rolen to come to the reds but the reds would never go for somebody like that cause they dont want to spend alot of money to get a good player like him.
