July 31, 200917 yr So why wasn't Roy Halladay traded? That's all I've been hearing about for weeks. No one was willing to give up the farm for him. Toronto will end up taking a lesser package this summer and lose him anyway. They really should have worked something out before the deadline, IMO. This is the kind of mistake that costs a GM his job.

His stock was high as ever because a team would love to have him for 2 post seasons. Now they will have to settle for less. They should have taken what they could get, considering they are going no where this year or next.
