Looks pretty good to me, MF. Personally I think Russell and Pburg could swap places very easily and you could shake 5-9 up and put them in just about any order.

 

To answer the other question, Breathitt lost a lot of players, especially on offense, but coaching keeps them in the hunt in the east, IMO.

Breathitt will stay in games by playing solid defense and wise clock management, especially until their injured QB comes back. I look for them to win ugly and lose ugly in the non-district portion of their schedule, and by the time district games role around, they should have found a "nitch" that works, if not, it will be a long season.

Holcomb and Chapman have put together a tough schedule that will help Breathitt come play off time. They are young but we have some good up and coming talent. As said before, defense will keep us in some games this year. Should be some fun in district 4 this year. Starting to look tighter at the top.

Ok I keep seeing this stuff, and I have not said anything, but I have to now. Leslie will get to 2nd round, and that is it. I have seen people from Leslie say this will be the best team ever. The best team was a 13-1 team that lost to Cov. Cath. in the semi-state. And you guys will not be better than that. I think Leslie may have beat P-burg the year they were runner-up, and Leslie could have been the runner-up that year. Leslie Co. could make it to state this year, but the reason they did not beat P-burg, and the reason they will not go to state this year is coaching. I am telling you people I have seen some great teams from Leslie since 1999, but coaching has hurt you guys. Need to get a great staff in place.

Yes they have good coaching, but I said you must put a great staff in place to do things you guys wish to do. It has been a while since a great staff was in place.

Why Breathitt county so high?

 

I explained it after their ranking so you will need to go back and read it but to save you the time I will tell you in one word-COACHING. Breathitt has one of the top head coaches in Eastern KY in Holcomb and IMO the top assistant coach in Eastern Kentucky in Chapman.

They are down talent wise but coaching goes a long way, esp. with coaches like Holcomb and Chapman at the high school level. A lot of schools would love to have the talent Breathitt has in down years though. They will have enough talent to win their district and with their coaching staff make a run in the playoffs IMO. Will they win the region this year? Probably not...I think that comes down to Prestonsburg, Russell, and Belfry.

Yes they are in 3. Russell is in 3 as well. If Lloyd wins the District, that Regional Final would be in Erlanger again, and this Lloyd Team is much better than the one that beat Russell (Gross included) two Years ago. Back to :sssh: :sssh: ...

This time of year is fun because every team is a contender and thinks they are the best. I am sure the Eagles will have a great season, but how great, who knows. Breathitt will struggle with a tough early schedule, but the tough schedule will prepare them for the playoffs. I do not see them making it to Louisville though, I like Prestonsburg. I will debate the Breathitt vs. Leslie game when it is time.
