  1. Because hardly any of the backs have been 6'2 220 lbs.
  2. I know this wasn't addressed to me, but I just have to give a little opinion on the matter. A DE's job is to contain, unless the option is run directly at them. Middlesboro ran what I guess would be called a counter-option which meant the DE had to make the QB pitch the ball. The QB was free to run in most cases because the NG & DTs got sucked inside on the counter fake EVERYTIME leaving our DEs with too much openfield to cover. Thats how I saw it anyway.
  3. Thats a good point. Nice post!!
  4. Thats a little bold, to say the least.
  5. What I meant was.......Touche', my good man!! Sorry about the typo.
  6. I do, but I haven't any suggestions on what to do about, from a personnel standpoint. But I noticed last night in particular that no one but our DE's were playing assignment football. The interior line was getting sucked in on the misdirection plays and had they been at home where they were supposed to be you get either a minimal gain or a big loss. The linebackers aren't scraping very well, they have to be more physical, and the tackling from all but a few is poor (trying to be nice). :madman: A lot of that may come from not a lot of tough games, but from this point on we'll be seeing good football teams and the way we tackled last night just isn't gonna cut it. :irked: As ironic as this may sound, IMO, a physical football team will give us all we want and then some. And I mean that on either side of the ball, but especially from a defensive standpoint.
  7. The entire Kentucky area???? Be more specific.
  8. If they meet next year SeBell it will be a great game again. In all honesty, most Pirate fans were not expecting this Pirate team to be as competitive as they are now. Next year is supposed to be the year, if you know what I mean.
  9. Think this guy read any of the preceding post before typing???
  10. Believe me when I tell you, I know exactly what you mean. But hey, its gonna be fun whenever they get home. If they decide to get on here that is.
  11. Middlesboro came to play and we didn't, but a win is a win and I'm glad we'll be playing another one at the CAM this coming Friday. Congrats to the Pirates and to a very young Middlesboro squad for bringing it.
  12. Its funny, but I was trying not to say what you just said.
  13. Big, big win for the Cards!!! Congrats to them and Coach Hager!!! See ya at Pond Creek next week. :dancingpa
