Fox News wishful thinking?

In their defense, the "D" is pretty close to the "R" on the keyboard...

“The issue of lying is probably the biggest harm, if you will, to the system of Democratic government...."

Who said the above?

I believe none other than Mr. Sanford himself.

Probably Richard Nixon.

Or Bill Clinton.

Or Bill Clinton.

Or John Ensign. Or Mark Foley. Or Larry Craig. Or David Vitter.

But I still think it was Mr. Sanford.

Or Al Gore, or Sandy Berger, or Barney Frank, or John Murtha, or Nancy Pelosi.

I also think it was Mr Sanford.

It seems he wanted to get away and clear his head. To me that is a vacation.

Without telling your family where you are going?

If someone's ability to do their job isn't in question...then why does it matter if he has an affair? If he is able to do an excellent job as governor shouldn't that be the only issue to the voting public.

No.

Somewhere in Louisiana a man smiles.

lol hopefully it's just late and that is why I'm missing whatever very obvious thing youre trying to get across to me.

If he told his wife about the affair I would say she knew where he was.

And to answer your question, yes, I would just say I'm going to clear my head.

Conan had the funniest quote on this, ... it was something along the lines of this:

"So SC Governor Mark Sanford has admitted to having an affair with a woman from Argentina. This is surprising, especially given that Republicans have not historically done well with Hispanic women."

I sure didn't know the Appalachian Trail extended into South America.

Missing from the humor is the sad realization that this is a huge blow for a Republican party already plagued by hypocrisy. Sandford was one of the few guys who was well-liked and stayed true to the supposed values of the GOP.

It's tough to find a good Republican candidate nowadays. Republicans, the party of Christians, small government, and strong foreign policy, give us candidates that have sex scandals, spending problems, and a tendency to lie to the public. There are few candidates left....
