They may lose, but getting that experience is invaluable in the long run.

June 21, 200917 yr Something else I just noticed that is very important - the U.S. will get to play two more games in this tournament, regardless of Wednesday's outcome. There is a 3rd place game on Sunday, as well. That is huge to get two more games against quality competition.

If US and South Africa both either win or lose, playing a true road game in that environment will be tough. Either way, if we play against Spain like we did today, we can at least keep it interesting. That said... the Spanish side is a lot better than a banged-up Egypt squad.
