June 3, 200917 yr I don't think so. We see everyone "tattoo'd" up these days because it's just part of society or because they just like tattoos. Not because Deenis Rodman had them... I don't remember anyone in the league before him with them. Then seems like Iverson. My question was did he start the trend, not the etiology of ink.
June 3, 200917 yr Author Can any team "out tattoo" the Nuggets??? I think not... http://nuggdoctor.blogspot.com/2008/10/nbas-kings-of-tattoo.html
June 3, 200917 yr Can any team "out tattoo" the Nuggets??? I think not... http://nuggdoctor.blogspot.com/2008/10/nbas-kings-of-tattoo.html I think the same thing every time they play! I remember watching them last season and on the floor at the same time they had AI, JR Smith, Carmelo, Birdman and Kenyon Martin. That is a lot of tats. They replaced AI this year with Chauncey so they did have a few less tats.
June 3, 200917 yr It is hard not to admire him as a player. He played hard. All the other stuff caused me to not like him, but I respect the way he played the game.
June 4, 200917 yr One of my all time favorites... His on the court effort, and his crazy personality.
June 4, 200917 yr He would be my 2nd favorite player of all-time. On the court you had to admire his heart and work ethic... I even liked his off the court stuff. The wedding dress at his book signing in NYC was genius. He told everyone he was unvailing his wife so a ton of people and cameras showed up. That guaranteed more free publicity for his book... Genius business move.

Genius business move. I have that book, 'Bad As I Wanna Be'. It's actually a great read if you are a Rodman fan. I also have over 80 Rodman basketball cards, a 2 dollar bill (you know the saying) with his picture on it, etc. He's 1a and the 'Pistol' is 1b when it comes to my favorite players of all time.
June 5, 200917 yr Enjoyed watching him rebound. Besides that, not so much. Is he the reason, or at the least one of the reasons, that we see everyone tattoo'd up these days in the league? I think he started making it bigger for basketball players. It was such a big deal that he had tattoos and the hair color when he was with the Bulls. Next thing you know everyone has them, even stars like Kobe and LeBron. Could you imagine Jordan, Bird, or Magic with some Inc? Not me. But it goes with the era the same way short shorts, fades, crue cuts, and floppy hair were older fads in the NBA. Tattoos and red hair were two reasons to love "The Worm". He was a great winner, and one of the hardest workers/hustlers in NBA history. You have to love a guy who can stay out the whole night gambling and drinking and then show up and play tough defense in the Finals. That should be as legendary as Babe Ruth sipping beers between innings.
