Not sure. According to the Scoreboard, Bell County lost their other game 11-1.

Maybe someone in the know can enlighten us.

If true, the Bell County baseball team has surrendered 67 runs in its last four games. Their football team gave up 70 points for the entire 2008 season.

Isn't this the same team that pummeled Eminence 56 to 1 or something like that last year?

Yeah they are never State contenders, yet when they get the chance to humiliate a team they do it.

Is Anderson just supposed to quit hitting and running the bases? I know Coach Barnes and he wouldn't humiliate teams like that. It just happens.

Very true. If Anderson was holding their hits to singles, not stealing bases, not advancing on passed balls etc. then what else can be asked of Coach Barnes kids? If Anderson County started getting themselves out, that's more embarassing to the opposing team than this score.

Anderson County has won 3 regional titles since 2000. They won the region in 08 and were beaten by PRP (the eventual state champs). This year they are in the top 25 and have beaten several teams that are ranked so they are definately a good team.

As far as humiliating teams go, Eminence is just not able to compete. Anderson emptied thier bench vs Eminence, held the runners to one base at a time, and told the batters to swing at anything. Unfortunately they have to play each other because they are in the same district. Eminence has lost the majority of its games in 5 innings when the mercy rule kicks in.

As for Bell, I don't know anything about them. However, AC emptied the bench and held the runners to one base. What would you have the coach do?

Don't say things about a team that you know nothing about and obviously you don't know much about Anderson County.

Well, that still doesn't change the fact that they really aren't state contenders.

However, I did hear that Bell County couldn't do anything at all. Probably the worst case scenario for every facet, not throwing strikes, not catching the ball, not making the throws, and not hitting the ball.
