How many times has a coach said he's staying only to bolt shortly after? I hope he stays, but it has happened. The one w/ specualtion was being reported more places than just here.

Some people on here automatically jump on certain posters bandwagons when no truth whatsoever has been posted. Then rockmom gets crucified because she (Heaven forbid) didn't think the thread was credible. Comical if you ask me. I guess it's not as fun to post about topics after all the crazy rumors have been shot down... :idunno:

He may feel the need to change the perception of his ability as a pro coach, which could lead him back to the NBA in the next few years, but his clock is ticking.

The "rumor" that there was a press conference was everywhere yesterday. Enough people heard about it that the SID had to make a statement about it. I don't think the worst thing that can happen is for a poster to say that there are rumors circulating about something happening at UL b/c it was covered on a lot of different sites. RM found the link disproving the "rumors". A writer on yahoo claims that Pitino in some form or another contacted the Kings about their opening. So maybe that's where the rumor took off from.
