TheDeuce Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Mine is definitely spaghetti with meat sauce, a nice tossed salad, and some french bread with garlic butter brushed on.
LRCW Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Marinate a steak over night, sauté up some mushrooms and onions, throw the steak on the grill until it's medium rare, and chow down. :dancingpa:dancingpa

formerkywrestler Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I love to experiment with different pizza and pasta combinations.
LRCW Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I love to experiment with different pizza and pasta combinations. And what are some of your favorite, or wildest combinations?
formerkywrestler Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 And what are some of your favorite, or wildest combinations?I have three pasta combinations that aren't your typical Italian staples that my family/friends seem to like. 1. A BLT Pasta preferably using home grown tomatoes 2. A Tilapia pasta with capers, garlic, Parmesan, and lemons. (I need to work on this, especially getting some veggies in it) 3. A VERY spicy tuna pasta with stewed tomatoes and feta cheese. As far as pizza goes there are two main ones I like to make. 1. Buffalo Chicken Pizza (And it is extremely hot) 2. My favorite pizza, I brush olive oil on a pizza crust, then generous amounts of garlic, red pepper flakes, oregano, parsley, and basil. The toppings are usually whatever I have in the fridge but most commonly ham, spicy pepperoni, salami, banana peppers, and onions. I like to use a homemade pizza sauce recipe that my Mom and I adopted but since I'm out from the last batch (and I'm too busy to make some more) I've been using store bought stuff here recently. When I use our recipe I cut down on the ingredients I brush onto the crust quite a bit (except for the red pepper flakes). I definitely have some pizza combinations I plan on trying this summer when I move to a place with a grill as I would love to get into grilling pizzas. I don't have too many wild ones yet, but I have only been cooking for a little over a year. And by that I mean two years ago I couldn't boil water.
gchs_uk9 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I'm not much on the oven, but my wife can make chicken parmesan very well. I love when that's on the menu!
Musketeer_alum97 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I can make some mean dishes out of Ramen noodles. I have that man's cookbook: A Man, a Can, and a Plan.
rockmom Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 When I have the time, I love to cook...anything. But, I must admit, my absolute real love is making up my own recipes. I'm pretty successful at that, believe it or not. But, from a fulfillment standpoint, I love cooking my kids' favorites and having them enjoy the meal.
