I don't think Lebron got fouled either. On the Howard play I originally thought it was a foul on Crusty the Clown but after the replay I like that no call.

 

 

 

Shaq got mauled alot, but he also got away with calls. Howard doesn't really get fouled like Shaq did. And when he does it's called. Big difference in the size and strength of a Shaq in his prime and D Howard as strange as that is to say.

 

Cavs are done, most likely. You cannot make one player try to win you a series. You would think averaging 42, 7 and 7 in a series would be enough to win, but it's not. Mo Williams should feel like a fool. A win in game 5 and it's possible, but someone not named LeBron has to hit some shots.

How many shots down the stretch did Williams hit? West hit one, Varajao hit one, Big Z hit one.

 

In the Cavs shooting you have West and Williams missing all of their 3's (0-6), a 2-2 from Ben Wallace, a jumper and 3 layups from Varajao, and Gibson shooting a pretty good 2-5 from 3 point range. So Gibson shot relatively good others really didn't. West was 7-15 from the field, and actually hit a few jumpers but many of those were layups. Mo Williams disappeared after the first quarter. So to act like anyone helped in keeping this game close besides LeBron on the offensive end is crazy.

 

Williams is the most disappointing. The so-called second option to LeBron is a hindrance to what the Cavs want to do. They actually played better when he was out (+/- = -5), or atleast not toughing the ball.

I know what you mean. By the stats they showed up, but not really. I credit LeBron for alot of the loss last night though along with Mike Brown. LeBron was doing great posting up in the 4th and they went away from it and he started bringing the ball up the floor.

Honestly I don't think Lebron gave any of those guys much of a chance to make plays for him down the stretch.

That was honestly the worst I've seen a big time player play down the stretch in a long time. Missing freethrows, throw errant passes, dribbling off his foot, air balling shots, LeBron is as physically gifted as a anyone to have ever played in the League and still has a chance to be the best ever, but Paul Pierce, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen, Carmelo, Chauncey Billups, Tony Parker, or Vince Carter wouldn't do some of the crap he did late in the fourth and in overtime. Like I said, he has all the talent in the universe, but the decision making and basketball IQ of a three year old IMO.

The foul called with .5 seconds left was so rediculous. Lebron was falling down and decides to dive into the defender who is back peddling away from him and they call a block. Terrible. And dont give me the whole stars get those calls at the end of games crap because while its true its a very stupid reasoning to call a foul and a big part of why I really dont like the NBA.

Maybe he was dead. He has had to play the 2nd half of all four games by himself. When you are forced to score 50% of a teams points you are going to run out of gas. I don't think he played dumb, he was just worn out.

That could go into it, but you said yourself to me last night that he is not very basketball smart. The Nuggets and Cavaliers both have the same problem, neither team is very basketball smart, and that may be what keeps them from advancing to the Finals.

Give him someone w/ the talent of Pippen or Shaq and he wins the next 4-6 championships easy. The criticism he is getting now is beyond hilarious. His combined avg when you add up points, rebounds, and assists for the playoffs in this many games is over 50. The only other person to do that? Jordan, and he did it once.

He did and that's the only thing he can be held responsible for. He took a tough open jumper w/ the lead late in regulation, but he got them in position to win and even had them in the lead late in regulation. He has proven to me even more now that he is by far the most complete player in the league.

Not exactly what I said. He didn't seem basketball smart last night and at times I think he settles for jumpers rather than going to the rack, but I don't think he is dumb. He may have seemed dumb to me last night but that was only in anger at how poorly the team was playing. He doesn't have the overall knowledge of say a Kobe or Billups, but he is a smart basketball player.
