April 24, 200917 yr Author I was hoping the Lakers could pull out the win in Utah last night and finish that series for all intents and purposes. But, I expected last night to be the toughest game in the series for them. Utah is very good at home and I think winning game 3 on the road when you're up 2-0 is typically one of the most difficult games to get. I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers lost game 4 to be honest. I think they win in 5 or 6, obviously depending on what happens in the next one. Just like last year. Utah is a pretty tough matchup for an 8 seed, simply because of how good they are at home. It wouldn't surprise me if they had an easier series against the Portland/Houston winner. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Utah was their toughest series until the finals.
April 24, 200917 yr Author ^I hope not. Regardless, I wasn't expecting a sweep against a team that went 33-8 on its home court. I'm hoping they can end this series sooner rather than later though, but I wouldn't be worried unless the Lakers lost one at home. I don't see that happening.

April 25, 200917 yr Lakers really blew that last night but like you said Utah is really good at home. Cavs move to 3-0 on the Pistons.
April 26, 200917 yr Author ^Kobe made sure this series didn't get interesting. I wasn't overly impressed by the Lakers performance in Game 4 and they still won easily. I thought they were unfocused and lazy on defense at times and they allowed Utah to dominate the offensive glass for the entire first quarter. Once they started playing defense about half the time and blocking out, they controlled the game with ease. Kobe was insane last night. 16-20 at one point with only one layup (that I can recall). The Jazz were in his face on a lot of the shots. He was just locked in...nothing you can do when that's the case. And, it's really fun to watch. Where did Shannon Brown come from? I like his game...especially seems like a good fit for this Laker team.
